Second time's the charm, right?

Ellowyn, feeling deeply responsible for how Earendel turned out, took it upon themself to make her a friend. A friend, or a sibling, depending on how she took to it. Taking some of the energy still left over from the creation of Earendel, they crafted a younger, more energetic version of her. Calling her Aether, the Shinx-Cosmoem was a deity of pure light an energy, destined to be the balance that Earendel herself deeply craved. Knowing this in the moment of her creation, she sped off to the place in the sky where the dim, cursed sun remained, and immediately started talking to her.

Attempting to speak with the Cursed Sun was its own struggle, as it was quite clear Earendel did not want to accept Aether as a gift of consolation to her, and also because Earendel had trouble staying awake for long periods of time. However, Aether knew what she was made for. She knew that she was built to be full of energy for a reason. And so, the Cosmoem fusion used her own energy to give Earendel some well-deserved energy that she didn't have to ping-pong back and forth within herself. The energy that Aether gave to Earendel invigorated her and made her so happy that she reached out her arms and gave the younger deity a hug. Aether herself was happy to see that her plan had worked, and though she'd only existed for a short time, she was happy to make Earendel happy

Though Aether is known as the Blessed Moon, due to her connection to the Cursed Sun, her place in the deity pantheon is actually as the god of the stars and energy. While Earendel is meant to be balance made imperfect, and thus turned into a dim sun, Aether was created as the second piece of the puzzle, assisting in giving Earendel more energy to balance out, making the balance more perfect, and becoming the deity that ruled more of the cosmos and the energy stored within space.
