As a child, Kresten had a big dream of becoming an apprentice mage. He swore he'd been able to perform acute magic abilities and that with the assistance of a master, his powers would grow. As he grew up however, Kresten began to realize that his magic abilities were actually just the result of being clumsy and causing accidents. By the time he was a teenager, those dreams had completely faded away and he came back to reality.
When creatures came to attack his village, Kresten's people suffered due to the lack of defenses and able bodied fighters. They lost people, as well as many resourced. It was after this attack that Kresten (along with a group of other villagers) began to train to become strong so they could defend themselves should another attack arise. Having grown out of his childish clumsiness, Kresten excelled at becoming a fighter.
