An eccentric magician who moved to Himmelsig suddenly, his stone-faced, sarcastic demeanor makes him seem unapproachable, but those who can look past that find his services as a magician to be suspiciously cheap considering their quality. He claims to have moved from Alto Sindores but refuses to elaborate on why he moved at all. He has close ties to the global monster-hunting group, Anzui.
Ambiorix is his true name. He was the field marshall of the army of the seventh sun, one of the Starfae kingdoms, he was valued incredibly highly in his position for possessing the Heart of Creation within him. When the coalition of the eight suns was about to break out, Ambiorix believed that the conflict was pointless and perfectly avoidable. He begged the Tuatha of the eight suns to resolve the tensions without war, but they insisted, and the people believed the war to be necessary. Having lost faith in his people, he went AWOL, running away to a different galaxy, to a planet named Siel; where he landed in the kingdom of Alto Sindores. He used the Heart of Creation to make himself a "Shell" that altered his appearance in accordance to the locals and picked a new name, "Enopion".
Anzui suspected Enopion's supernatural nature due to his inexplicable skill with magic and planned an attack. They failed to kill him, but they destroyed his shell, exposing his Starfae body. Ambiorix ran to the woods to recover, as the Heart of Creation takes a lot of time to imitate living tissue. In the meantime, the Starfae picked up his reading and attacked the city Ambiorix lived in while searching for him, the unparalleled sorcery of the Starfae killed thousands and made the city uninhabitable for years. When they failed to find Ambiorix, the Starfae retreated. After rebuilding his shell, Enopion ran away to Himmelsig, buying a cottage in the countryside and shutting himself in, rarely leaving his new home.
Enopion still feared another attack by the Anzui, so he decided to seek them, believing that if he confessed his true nature and the true cause behind the destruction of his former home, the Anzui would no longer consider him a threat. And the Anzui agreed, officially whitelisting Enopion as a nonthreat. When the Anzui learned that Enopion's services as a magician were not attracting enough clients, they offered him a position as a Gunmage, finding potential use in his peerless skills with sorcery. Despite the attempt on his life, Enopion took the deal and soon found out that all of Anzui's founders and elite members are also supernatural beings, who joined Anzui to protect Siel from their own respective kin.
