Profile

The Kingdom of Doolin is a vast expansion of land with villages, and small town covering it.
It is inhabited by many birdfolk of different kind.
The kingdom also has a wide range of necromancers due to the culture, and rituals surrounding the dead.
It does now however mean that all know or practice necromancy, let alone any high level spells.
Often believe that family and connections are more important, and should be cherished even in death, it is tradition to mummify those who have passed and to be placed in publicly open tombs.
Those that are more wealth may have their own ancestry tombs located in their land or land that they privately own.
It is the families or guardians job to take care of the deceased, and ley them to rest, yet it is often so common that the birdfolk would dress they're dead and pose them or animate them as if they were still alive and living with us.
Once a year it is celebrated for the dead to rise and walk among the living, to be with family, as they make alters and present presents to their deceased, hoping these gifts reach them in the afterlife.
It is tradition to paint skulls on the faces of the living to show their connection with death, for death is not seen as a final stop but a transition to a new realm where only the soul may travel.
It is disrespectful to enslave, or have the dead work unless it is what they wanted, or writen in their will.
The dead are considered wise and elders, those that can speak to the dead often do so on insight, or wisdom, others simply wish to reconnect with those that passed.
Those outside the kingdom or it's practices might see how common the dead are displayed, or held in high regard as ludacris or an insult.
Yet the Doolin kingdom welcomes all's and remains neutral with neighboring kingdoms, should war break out, many of the dead who have sworn their lives or oath to fight, shall be reanimated to fight along the living, those who fall shall continue to fight till the war is at an end, and those who have fallen returned to their heirs.
