BASICS
"Humans, so easy to drive to mania. They become the obsessions I draw out of their deepest thoughts."
Laszlo is not the god's true name, for its true name is unspeakable by human tongue and his body is not its true form, for it cannot be perceived by human eyes. This is simply the name and form to fit the limitations of the world he finds himself in.
The God of Obsession has the power to draw out and twist the desires within humans to their extremities. When this obsession takes hold of his victims mind, it brings Laszlo more energy and power. He cares not for the lives and innocence of humans, only toying with them. He knows he is above them and makes no effort to understand what he perceives as simple lives.

STORY
Before Humanity
Laszlo has always been around, like other Eldritch Gods. It is constant, existing in all of time and in every location at once. Or at least it did. The concept of Obsession of which it gains its power still does. By some slip of fate, an error in the weaving of its strands, Laszlo gained consciousness and landed in the human realm.
Stuck.
For a long time, Laszlo was confused about what it was and why it had entered this world. Why it wasn't in every time and place at once but once it began to understand more, the more it realised this was not a mistake but a blessing from fate. Humans were so easily manipulated, the world was like a feeding ground for them, easily able to gain power from the billions of creatures that roamed its surface. With the newfound power, it was able to make its power stronger and was able to jump forwards and backwards in time and to any location it wished. It could pull obsessions to a strength it never could before. This chaos was fulfilling.
Victims
With this power, Laszlo drew obsessions from thousands of individuals as he pleased yet after a while he felt like he needed to test his increased power. He found three individuals who all once knew each other and chose a different point in time he felt it was appropriate to draw the obsession from them. One, he chose childhood. The other, he chose the teenage years. The last, adulthood. He brought their worst wishes higher than he had on any other living being and it brought them all to insanity, becoming twisted, cursed monsters.
Many would consider these once-humans victims of this force of malevolence. Laszlo on the other hand? He considers them his children, souls that have been blessed with his power and a show of his strength. To Laszlo, these monsters are his greatest achievement.
RELATIONSHIPS
Victim
In Azrael, he brought forth the obsession with knowledge, cursing him with the information he learnt from it. He is the only one who knows his obsession was created by the god. He resents him for it.
Victim
In Lazarus he brought forth the obsession of resurrection. In his mania, Lazarus only views Laszlo as someone who respects his ideals, a rare sight for him. They are on amicable terms. He doesn't know what he did to him.
Victim.
In Calista he brought forth the obsession with being loved. She doesn't know he did this, she only views Laszlo as the god that saved her from her father's ‘Cleansing’. She is grateful for it and continues to pray and sacrifice in his name.
DESIGN
- His tattoos glow when he uses his power. The tentacle tattoos shift and the eyes blink.
- His tentacles act like limbs. He has full control of them and moves them as he pleases, especially to grab things.
- While he tends to keep the same outfit, he has fun experimenting with it
- He can change form at will but chooses not to. He's content with the face he currently wears
- His necklace always has a low glow

TRIVIA
- Whilst he thinks most of mortal life is useless, he does enjoy theme parks and has great fun visiting them.
- He laughs sickeningly often and at things he shouldn't.
- The majority of his victims he only brings the obsession to a slight exaggeration, he gains enough energy from that. His three ‘Children’ are a show of the extremes of his power
- He thinks the idea of a human being devoted to him quite cute, entertaining his ‘followers’ when they give him sacrifices and gifts
- He knew that Callista was the daughter of Aruna's high priest yet still toyed with her anyway. He is well aware that she can do nothing against him.
