Kaine is a somewhat apathetic individual. His concern is limited to the people and creatures he personally knows. He is usually pretty passive and it takes a good amount of aggression to get a response out of him.
Kaine has a pact with Gluttony after finding one of his ‘eyes’ or the camera in a garage sale. Usually gluttony would curse an individual and eat them but Kaine had a unique ability allowing him to actually harness the original use of the camera and Gluttony could never catch him because of this. This led to them eventually making the pact where Kaine promised the eye back to Gluttony and his own soul in return for being able to summon him for protection.
