Of course, being one to commit various crimes makes one to believe that Valerian would find himself in jail, yet he is not. He does not understand why he is not in the Fortress of Meropide for his “dealings”. Little does he know, certain outside forces that he is unaware of are preventing him from going to such a wretched prison.

Valerian was always known to never settle down, due to his less than savory backstory and how he is always on the run. He has quite the reputation for himself. Valerian does not mind these claims, since he now knows the claims are completely false.

He immediately knew all of those harsh words were wrong the night he broke into a certain opera performer’s window.
