About

Jeremiah was born in a small, enclosed, highly religious community on Arith. It was a small miracle that he was born, since the parents had tried for so long, but he was born frail and sickly. This led to his parents becoming overly smothering and protective of him, something he started resisting pretty hard as a teenager… And something that has caused him to resent help to this day. To get away from his parents as a young adult, after hearing a scandalous truth about them, he took the oppurtunity to be a priest in a newly opened church in a different part of the city.

While not… Perfect, this community opened up his eyes to people that were very different from the ones he had grown up with. Jeremiah is a devout man, but his faith still takes a backseat to the community that the church provides him. He has since climbed the ranks to become one of the senior priests at this specific church and provides a sort of leadership.

The sickness that Jeremiah was born with has taken its toll on mind and body. The main things are his difficulty with digestion and constant joint pains. He struggles to not throw up food, and years of malnourishment have damaged his teeth, and inner organs. Some days he is completely bedridden, with nothing but books and escapism to get him through it. The constant sickness has had him question his faith, and turned him bitter. He masks well while he is in church, but once he is in private he tends to spiral in frustration.

He has recently had some wins, and his health is looking better than it’s been doing in years. I would describe him as… Peaceful but not a pacifist. Years of training his magic and meditating to make up for his poor health has made him strong with the arcane. And while patient with people, he also doesn’t have a lot of tolerance for ‘bullshit’ and can trigger him to become mean or even violent..
