HIS: ANGEL MACHINE is two separate entities, that function as one. Or rather, one is hostile, while the other watches over it. ANGEL watches over MACHINE, keeping it in check, and entertaining it. MACHINE is highly aggressive, constantly ranting about how it wants to destroy and eliminate everything around it. ANGEL, on the other hand, is lax, always having to deter MACHINE from thinking destructive thoughts.

Though they are two entities, they work on the same plane of function, as ANGEL is plugged into MACHINE, thus, they are eternally connected against their will. It can be viewed as a punishment for both, to be stuck forever, doing the same thing every day with no sense of freedom.

MACHINE is meant to create demons, but after some time, the demons it was creating became erratic, and uncontrollable even with an Overlord present. This resulted in many rogue demons, who refused to work under the reign of others. MACHINE, admitted that it was a plan that ultimately failed as the demons it created did not listen to it either. That is why ANGEL was assigned to watch over MACHINE- as ANGEL was an accomplice in the scheme.
