6'3", lean and muscular, with long, gangly limbs. tan skin, black hair with the bangs dyed dark pink, dark brown eyes. his hair falls about mid-back. he has lots of moles and freckles all over his body, along with a scar up the right side of his face from a hunt gone wrong. he wears lots and lots of black because blood stains don't show up as badly on that color, and the cross necklace he wears is from his father.

valentin is stoic, quiet, and protective. he is all about efficiency and doesn’t bother with extra steps or details if he can skip over them. he is a very careful person, as one has to be in his line of work, and his head is always on a swivel to look for danger. he is, however, a huge teddy bear around the children of the coven he protects, as well as the leader of the coven, zoe. he is easily flustered around people he cares for and doesn’t deal with his emotions very well, being easily overwhelmed and embarrassed. he is determinate and driven and has to always be doing something, though he does enjoy the few moments of relaxation he gets. he fills what little free time he has with reading and cooking.

he moved from slovenia to america in search of a culinary college, seeking a career as a professional chef. instead, he fell into the magical underground and eventually got involved with demon hunting through some friends he made. he ended up saving a child from the maw of a nasty demon and then took the child to their home, which turned out to be a coven house. the leader of the coven, zoe, offered valentin first a place to stay, then a job as the official guardian of the coven. he accepted for the simple fact he had nothing better to do at that point, but ended up with a second family of sorts.

he uses charmed weapons to kill demons, and quite a wide variety at that. his usual go-tos are his longsword and hunting rifle.
he was born in lower carniola, in slovenia. he is fluent in slovene.
he actually wears his face mask to prevent all sorts of toxic demon spew from getting into his mouth, which could prove fatal if it's the wrong sort of demon. most people assume it's to hide the scar on his face, however.
