“Welcome honored guest, his excellency offers his hospitality. Be careful, palace is large and it’s easy for guests to get lost. Please ask for a servant to guide you if you want to leave the south annex to see the grounds, there’s a button to call one by the door.

I suggest you take in the city sights once you get settled, the central garden is lovely this time of day and there is an exhibition match at the amphitheater this afternoon. We hope you’ll enjoy your stay in the great city of Tarr. “

Huen's planet was once a desert wasteland. It's people strong and territorial hunters but wasting away their intelligence on simple survival. It was huen's family that stumbled across a portal to a different plane, one that was teeming with magic and prosperity. It was beautiful... and it should be theirs. When they returned, they began to terraform parts of the planet. Mages from their conquered territories changed the climate and soil. That newly fertile land would become the great capitol city of Tarr (after which the empire is named.)

Huen himself is a widely revered figure, not only from the way the empire has flourished since he began his rule… but also because no one remembers a time when he wasn’t emperor. It’s been almost 40 generations of tarrans since he’s taken the throne and he doesn’t look a day past 30.

In the first few hundred years of his reign, he spent most of his time on war campaigns to expand the empire. Legends say that even mortal wounds don’t phase him, and he can rise from death. Nowadays, he only gathers his armies when something really catches his eye, and the empire has been relatively peaceful for over half a millennia. He often has dignitaries and powerful travelers as honored guests in his palace.

It's no secret that under the handsome face and warm welcome lies a monster, polite as he pretends to be. The emperor always gets what he wants. And if he has to crush someone to get it? So be it.
