Profile

Gúlaa makes its home on a remote island in the Pacific Northwest, not too far from the archipelago of Haida Gwaii.
It feeds on fish and other marine life, salmon being its all-time favourite.

It hoards the shells of eaten abalone inside its lair.
Gúlaa will often trade its shells for hand-made goods, especially pieces of art, but only if it is treated with kindness and respect.

Gúlaa prefers to avoid human contact, generally only leaving its lair at dawn and dusk.
On rainy and foggy days, however, it may find itself feeling confident enough to venture out.
