Matsuri always goes by the books. She's relatively quiet, keeps to herself, and doesn't speak out unless in court.
She's the definition of studious: she spends all of her time reading over cases, law rules, books, and anything related to law.
Matsuri runs her cases very analytically and without emotion, making sure to apply any law or precedent she knows of.
Outside of work, she's not the most empathetic, but she tries her hardest to be nice and caring towards those who she can spend her little time with.
Both of Matsuri's parents are lawyers, and they had their own law firm. All throughout her childhood she was surrounded by all sorts of law related material, and she began reading the books on the shelves for fun.
She grew increasingly interested in practicing law, and very keen on the details. Her parents would allow her to help them in various paperwork and busywork. Eventually, she was able to pass the bar at 13 years old, becoming an official lawyer under the Japanese government.
Matsuri spent her summers at her grandparents' town, where her grandparents often babysat Maaya. The two of them were always next to each other, and had a unique friendship with her each summer.
After becoming an Ultimate Lawyer, and Maaya becoming the Ultimate Baseball Manager, Maaya asked Matsuri to help her to uncover the bad workplace treatment she's been enduring. Matsuri took up this case, and together with the insight that Maaya has within each team, the two of them have been trying to give players and staff higher workplace rights.
