Backstory

DJ was always a good kid. She kept her grades up, but always kept herself from making friends. One day one of her teachers asked her about why she did this and she ended up breaking down. She explained that her mother passed away when she was 8 years old after a serious car accident. Her mother was on her way to pick her and her brother up from their grandmother's house. Her mother was the closest friend she had ever had. After high school she met a few friends while going to a college tour. One of the girls she was actually more interested in than the rest. Her name is Emilia "Emily" Snyder. They got closer over the few months and eventually got into a relationship. They're both happy now. DJ still has the "I'm a big, mean jerk" persona, but she loves and cares for Emily.
