Sosthenes

• His full name is Sosthenes, but he often goes by "Thorn" or Soss.

Soss is big and scary....to look at. In reality, he's a gentle giant who has long since learned the error of his ways in using his size and strength to bully others. While he was a bit of a brute as a teen- as he's grown into a young adult he's come to develop a stronger empathy for others and understanding of his own strength and the effect his actions have. He used to surrender to various vices but has learned to overcome them. He's determined, honest, and constantly striving to do his best to be a good person.

He's a hopeless romantic, and loves things like flowers and fashion, which is part of what got him into the world of modeling circles in the first place and into his current career.

While he does try his best to make good choices- his street smarts are better than his book smarts, and he often simply misses things. He's good at looking intimidating- but he can often get a bit overwhelmed or flustered when truly cornered by conversations and paperwork and in situations that aren't actually strength-based. He doesn't really handle grief well and can be a bit emotional.

He has a strong sense of self identity -he knows who he is and what is important to him. He knows what he wants and what he principalizes above all else. He isn't afraid to share his emotions and thoughts and is very open about who he is- even to his detriment when it's used against him or he's manipulated as a result.

Soss grew up in a very religious household where he...really didn't fit in. From an early age he acted out against rules he didn't like or understand, spurning many members of his family and traditions he didn't like. He developed a strong issue with authority figures and eventually ended up in some bad crowds. As he developed his own identity, he became more confident in who he was as a person and what he believes is right and wrong, leading to him straightening up- though he did use his connections and street knowledge to get into the line of work of using force to protect people- rather than harm them.

He struggled with some addictions and negative vices in his youth- alcohol,fighting, gambling, ect. But as he's become a young adult he's managed to become much more disciplined in his ways. He's dedicated to his current job protecting a model named Venus, which has- in some regards motivated him to keep on the straight and narrow. He feels a lot of empathy for the way she's so hard on herself and he tries to show her kindness that others don't. As well, as her guard- he spends a lot of time watching her struggle with her own identity and wishing he could help. He probably has a bit of a crush- but he doesn't pursue it due to the fact that she doesn't seem interested. (In reality, she just doesn't notice).
