The human likeness is delicate, intricate and nearly irreplicable by the hands of mortals. However, by what seems to be inhumanly talent, one particular mortal, known only by the name Odette, has been blessed with the hands of a creator— With countless endless and unknown lists of materials, Odette handcrafts life size dolls that resemble the human likeness so closely, one might even mistake it for the real thing— if it weren’t for the piercing stare of the button eyes the Dollmaker sews onto each of her lifelike creations, stating “The eyes are the doorway to the soul, doors we must keep closed, lest we get lost in their mazes.” Regardless of the one aspect against the realness of her dolls, Odette receives countless orders for her dolls, garnering especially, and quite strangely, customers with deceased loved ones.
