Emi

The protagonist of the light novel side story, Emi Shindou was a normal girl. Until suddenly a death at her school is blamed on her, instead of being sent to prison however Emi is sent to an assassin's school. Energetic and kind, Emi is way in over her head as she tries to navigate the school. Emi cares deeply for her friends, Ayame, Yosuke and Kaito and has a strong rivalry with Reika as the 2 often antagonize each other. Emi's optimistic and kind nature allows her to connect to Kaito and Ayame who slowly become more lively around her, leading to Kaito's growth in confidence and Ayame seeing light in life. Emi eventually enters a romantic relationship with Ayame. Despite the situations Emi finds herself in, she does everything she can to keep a bright smile as she believes she has to be the foundation for her friends. She believes her friends around her is what gives her strength and believes she has no real power on her own.
