Duna is a kind and very active young girl. She's quite proudly from a family of adventurers, although she's a bit more of a homebody. She reads a lot, and tends to daydream often. Duna has cultivated her imagination and creativity, and loves to make things! She crafts friendship bracelets and necklaces, she sculpts with clay, but her claim to fame is her ability to make sandcastles. She's even won a few local contests for her building skills! 

She lived a very content and happy life, until one day her brother turned up missing. Not content to wait around forever for some barely-caring authorities to find him, and keeping faith when almost everyone else had lost it, Duna was determined to find just where he'd been spirited away to. 

Duna got a bit more than she bargained for when she was recruited by a cursed sea captain and a girl named Fish to don magic earrings and take up the mantle of the legendary sailor Cure Discovery-- in order to stop the crisis caused by Manowar, the very villain that stole her brother away!

As Cure Discovery, she has the power over sand, and can use her spade to command it and change its shape. Additionally, she has heightened physical strength and durability- just as all Pretty Cures do.

-The island city she's from is fictional, but it draws a lot of inspiration from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Duna herself speaks both Spanish and English!
