Iridescence is a… particular Faetauri. Most who’ve spent a few minutes with her could go on for quite some time about how difficult she is to be around. Not a great advertisement for business, but her skills make up for what she lacks in good customer relations. A sort of fortune teller, Iri uses plants, insects, and her own magic to get answers to whatever question you might come to her with. Not quite conventional, but it works!

With her talents gaining a decent reputation, Iri has taken to traveling around where she can. New plants and bugs provide better insight to the universe after all!

Born in the Fae Woods, Iridescence didn’t have particularly special beginnings. She wasn’t given much attention as a child, the adults in her life didn’t think she’d amount to much actually, Iri never displayed much talent for anything in her early years. It made for a lonely childhood, as she wasn’t sure how to really interact with others. People only wanted to talk to you if you made them happy, right? You had to have something to offer to make friends, right?

Fuck it

As she got older, Iri decided to be her own best friend. She liked being around herself, who cared if no one else could see her value! Her opinion was most important! Being her own hype man lead to her expanding her world, she wandered around the Fae Woods territory more and more until eventually she stopped returning to her childhood home all together. It was on one of her excursions that she met a mysterious old Faetauri talking with a crowd of ladybugs. Intrigued, Iri struck up a conversation, which lead to an apprenticeship, and eventually a friendship. The old Faetauri taught Iri how to get answers from the universe through plants and bugs, and with her magic blossoming under such care, Iridescence grew into a very talented fortune teller.

Goodbye

When her mentor and friend vanished, Iri wasn’t surprised. They’d always talked about how tired they were, how they wanted to spend their last days, how they’d leave one day, still didn’t stop the sadness despite being happy her mentor was resting somewhere. Iridescence was never one to dwell though. With a new path ahead of her, she resumed her wandering, only now with purpose and an obnoxiously solid confidence in herself.

  • Iri is smarter than she acts, she purposely pretends to be a bit of a dummy
  • She has absolute confidence in herself, “if you don’t believe in yourself, why should others?”
  • She never talks about her childhood with anyone. No sense dwelling on it
  • She’s not very fast, in fact she often trips when she tries to run
  • Whatever answers she herself is looking for in her readings, she hasn’t shared with anyone…
