Name: Bastarlisk
(star basilisk)

Appearance:
Bastarlisks are small and serpent-like. Cover in short soft fur, and commonly longer fur on the back of their necks. They vary wildly in length and can even reach a few metres in length. They have long ribbon-like ears with stars that float just a little off. And have a matching star on their tail. They commonly have stars and constellations that follow them, but don't all have to. They also have small canines, and have a star marking on the end of their split-ended tongue. They have 1-2 pairs of arms, and no hind legs.

Diet:
They are omnivores. And commonly eat nuts, berries, fruit, and small rodents or mammals (rarely birds).

Behaviour:
Bastarlisks are cat-like in nature but are feral. They tolerate humans and can ever be friendly when you earn their trust but can't be kept as pets. Rarely one may see a human as a companion, but need to be able to leave as they please.
They are also noturnal.

Intelligence:
They are believed to be close to intelligence as a human, but lean into their more wild behaviors.

Mating/reproduction/lifespan:
Bastarlisks mate for life, and commonly have 1-2 offspring via eggs, and may have a total of many clutches throughout their lifetime. Bastarlisks can reach to an average age of 100.

Habitat:
Bastarlisks can found anywhere, but prefer colder weather.

Lore:
Is is believed Bastarlisks originated from the planet Baoroni, but was brought over to Mysteria by Globeetles.
Bastarlisks are also under strict protection laws as when first introduced they were heavily hunted by poachers.
