Bash is a 19-year-old echidna who wound up in Sonic's world via falling through a portal from an apocalyptic alternate dimension. Echidnas are far more populated in the dimension he comes from, which is why he exists as one. He's been offered to be taken back to his dimension, but every time he's adamantly refused, claiming he would rather stay here than in a world that's in the middle of an apocalypse.
With a relatively tall, muscular build and mean-looking resting face, Bash is quite the intimidating individual, giving the impression that he's unapproachable. He's, in reality, quite the opposite, being more of a gentle giant than his appearance would let on.
Bash is very curious, intrigued and awestruck by how nice the current world is compared to his dimension. He's quite drawn to nature due to it mostly being destroyed where he came from, thus meaning he never saw anything related to it. He particularly enjoys laying down in the grass and watching the clouds or stars, depending on the time of day.
Having come from a stressful and dangerous environment, Bash is wary of strangers, especially having a fear of robots. He's quick to become defensive if he feels like he's being threatened and won't hesitate to fight someone if need be, but he otherwise just wants to live a chilled-out life after being under an almost constant threat.
