Gunmetal

• Can be drawn as a charmander, charmeleon, or charizard. They are just different points in his story
• If he is drawn with Aubyn, though, he is always the same evolution as her- they grew up together and evolved at very similar times. 

Gunmetal is a quiet charmander that keeps to himself- but hides a deep reverence for battling and proving himself. He loves a challenge, loves striving to improve his abilities, and likes to have someone to push him into becoming a better fighter-flyer- person. He tends to be pretty hotheaded and impulsive, but he means well and he'll always drop anything and everything to help someone in need.

He tends to rush headlong into things without thinking about them enough (more than not, often ending up getting scolded for his recklessness), and he tends to be very passionate about the things he does care about. He's very vocal about his likes and dislikes, and "Gunmetal, shut up" isn't an uncommon phrase among his friends who are sick of hearing him babble on and on about his favorite things.

He plays big and tough, but he takes things to heart and his ego is easily bruised.

Gunmetal was part of the same clan of charizards that Aubyn was born into, watching from afar as the other charmander was bullied and harassed for the fact that she had fur instead of the smooth/scaled coats of her fellow charmander. Gunmetal didn't pick on her as badly as the others...but he definitely contributed as a youngling to her bullying at times to fit in- when he was immature and didn't know better.

As the two got older, Gunmetal became more enamored with her...mainly- pestering her. He probably had a bit of a crush even early on that manifested in his constant seeking for her attention- drawn to her firey passion and fighting skill. He made it his mission to become her rival- constantly picking fights with her in order to show off how strong he was.

It wasn't until he was older- and fully evolved himself that he began to mature into the feelings he'd always held for her and the two became formally a couple- though they still certainly butt heads in a playful manner. When she became captain of the skyguard, he became a teacher of sorts, teaching new flying pokemon the ropes. The two work closely together to defend the sky islands from unwanted intruders.
