It sometimes manifests in beings who, through an accident of birth, carry the power of the planes in their blood. The genasi are one such people, the offspring of genies and mortals. (for more info look up Genasi on DnDBeyond.com ) Subspecies: Water Genasi Subspecies explanation: The lapping of waves, the spray of sea foam on the wind, the ocean depths—all of these things call to your heart. You wander freely and take pride in your independence, though others might consider you selfish. Most water genasi look as if they just finished bathing, with beads of moisture collecting on their skin and hair. They smell of fresh rain and clean water. Blue or green skin is common, and most have somewhat overlarge eyes, blue-black in color. A water genasi’s hair might float freely, swaying and waving as if underwater. Some have voices with undertones reminiscent of whale song or trickling streams. Backstory: Oasis was born 4 minutes after her twin sister Ceto. a complete surprise for her mother who believed to only be giving birth to one child. Her mother loved them both dearly. Their father had left after a one night stand with their mother so he was never a part of their life. Still they never felt unloved or unwanted. She fell in love with music at an early age. Where her sister fell in love with books and magic. Even with these differences the two sisters were close to each other. They both lovingly compete with each other and like to prank each other often. Oasis trained hard to be a bard discovering that she held a bit of magic in her beautiful voice. A voice that many felt like they were sitting listening to gentle rain pitter pattering on the soft earth. When anyone in their village needed calming she was always called forth to sing and calm them. Her sister on the other hand chose to be a sorcerer. Working hard to harnes the magic that was inside of her. With their etheral looks they soon had many suitors. Ceto, her sister, found them to be quite bothersom. Oasis on the other hand loved the attention. She learned quick that with a little touch and a kind word she usually managed to get what she wanted. With many proposals and gifts coming her way she was never lacking in jewels and money. On their 18th birthday their mother gave them some money and sent them out into the world to learn and discover the world on their own. The sisters stayed together for a bit but Oasis soon grew weary of staying too long in places as her sister researched. They split ways for a while. She earned money by dancing and singing in the streets. often she would mix her water controling magic in with her performances. One day she recieved a message from her sister requesting help. She needed access to an ancient ruin for her research but the mayor of the city wasnt giving her access. Oasis quickly made her way to the town to try to help her sister out. That is where her story and adventure turly began.
