Frogskin is haughty and confident, often thinking herself better than others. She's highly intelligent and her brain more than makes up for her lack of fighting skills. She gets bored easily - which has led to her inventing some of Homeworld's best technology. She's currently looking into new ways of creating perfect gem soldiers without having to plant an entire kidnergarten.
Frogskin's duty is to streamline Homeworld's engineering and improve their tech. She also plays a large part in engineering. Another one of her jobs is to hack into the systems of the planets they conquer (if they have any) to expand Homeworld's databases and reap any information that could be useful to the Diamonds' galactic conquest.
(Frogskin secretly dislikes the Diamonds. Her position - and possibly life - would be in peril if this information were to get out. Thus the heavy encryption of her personal journal.)

Information
Frogskin is short and squat with green speckled skin that's cool to the touch. Her hair is bright orange and poofy, refusing to ever be tamed - not that she bothers. She has buck teeth and small, weak eyes that are aided with her goggles, which sit snug beneath her gem. She wears a simple Homeworld outfit and a heavy toolbelt laden with gadgets.
History
Frogskin's beginnings are simple. When she was first "born," she was intended to be a repairman under the Peridots' command. She would do the most basic of repairs that the higher-ranked gems couldn't be bothered with. Frogskin would often get bored, however, and start tinkering with the ships' technology - often actually upgrading it. When the Peridots grudgingly informed one of the Pearls what was going on and where the new tech was coming from, Frogskin was brought before the Diamonds.
Promotion
Frogskin disliked Yellow Diamond from the moment she laid eyes on her. In her opinion, the Diamond was rude and overglorified - after all, she was simply a larger gem - what made her so special? Her short temper and tendency to make faces rubbed Frogskin the wrong way, and it was all she could do to hold her tongue while she was being reassigned to Engineer and relocated to Homeworld's Mars Base.
Mars Base
Frogskin was happy to get to work at the rundown base, and she soon had it up and running efficiently. She spends her free time making weapons and sending them to Homeworld proper for approval. She's working on a new type of vehicular transport - one that looks like an authentic living centipeedle.
Zippy
[ minion ] Zippy is really Frogskin's only friend (she won't tolerate anyone else). He was one of her earlier creations - hence the outdated exoskeleton - but she keeps his A.I. updated and he follows orders on a whim - and without question. So much better than those pessimistic Peridots she's forced to put up with on a daily basis.
