Brief Summary/Basic Info:

Sergio is one of the four Universalists that currently live on the space station Creus. His job is to be a healer, though he likes going by doctor(Even if he doesn't have a PhD). He usually takes missions that are set in post-apocalyptic or war-ridden worlds, since it is there that medical attention would be needed the most. He tries to handle things more logically, but can get emotionally invested into his patients if known long enough. His partner is Drake Evergreen, however later in his story do they become romantic partners.

Physical Appearance:

Sergio is the more largely build Universalists than the rest, at an average height compared to his peers. He has hazel-brown colored eyes which always have bags under his eyes, and their shape is more oval. Along with said eyes are a big pair of busy black eyebrows, always smooshed down to give himself a stern bitch face. His skin is covered in black swirls and dots on every part of his body except the palms of his hands and face. There is no particular shape they take form of, so it can change every time you look at him if you’re not too observant. He has a 5 o'clock shadow which he only shaves just enough to keep that certain shade going on(Drake says he likes it and he’s a people pleaser). Usual outfits are what some people would call 'comforting'; He doesn't wear anything that might intimidate people, and goes with either a formal sweater-vest, equipped with a purple tie and light purple undershirt, or his casual attire of plain t-shirts and baggy cargo pants. Tries not to wear no shirt, but sometimes his shadows like to rip clothing apart to be free and it irritates Sergio no end if he’s not paying attention.

SHADOW FORM:

Vaguely human shaped, but can grow any limb needed for it at any time. Has glowing purple eyes and mouth, and flash purple and a darker purple when angered(Like in his Universalist form). Only seen in extreme circumstances, or if he wants to sneak into places without being detected since the form can blend into any shadow available and in any size.

Personality:

Sergio is more of a man of logic over his own emotions. Not that he isn't prone to emotional outbreaks at times, but tries to see things in technical terms and assess things towards the best outcome. He thinks this is necessary since he is the healer of the group and has to make more long term decisions. He's hard working, incredibly knowledgeable on medicine even though he doesn't really need it, and cares deeply for others. Sergio shows his care by being that loving father type character, to the point he could be seen as that nagging friend who tries to take care of everyone yet knows when to back off on certain issues.

However, Sergio likes to have everyone know of his plan, and has a little bit of a rambling problems when it comes to his thoughts. Especially around people he trusts. Worries too much for his own good, and cares about other people's health more than he does his own. This leads to some anxiety problems and is known to be quite irrational when he lets his emotions get to him. Especially when it involves people who cant take care of themselves, and is extremely good with children. Not very good with animals unfortunately, and the only animal that actually likes him are cats.

Strengths/Weaknesses:

     Strengths

• Is naturally immune to all sorts of physical damage, as even fatal wounds will heal or limbs will grow back thanks to his accelerated shadow healing.
• Can engulf his arms in shadows to create bigger hands and use them in battle
• Can turn into a huge shadow-like creature that can have multiple appendages and cause more physical damage
• Incredible amount of endurance
• Cannot be stopped by power-draining attacks because his shadows, in the laws of the universe, count as anti-matter
• Standard Universalist strength, which is stronger than humans and most other species

     Weaknesses

• Using his shadow hands/his shadow form is very energy draining and will cause them to eventually be intangible again
• Powers that are more non-physical, especially fire and heat-based attacks, will do a lot more damage and take more time to heal than others
• Focuses more on defense than offense
• Big baby doesn't want to fight people

Powers/Abilities:

Powers include healing shadow forms that leave temporary tattoos in place of physical wounds which all have different forms. If it is something minor, the shadow will only stay there for a few minutes, then disappear. If it is more major or life threatening, the shadow will take a certain shape and stay on the body until the entire wound has healed.

Non-physical wounds, such as diseases, take a lot more energy and require multiple sessions of shadow work and time. In fact, Sergio CAN heal almost every disease, but takes a lot of effort and time and shadows are not left on the skin but inside the body unseen.

He may also control shadows to limbs or other sorts of objects, whether it can be tangible or not. Making shadows tangible is much more work than not, but is used in combat situations when that rare occurrence happens. Usually fights with his weapons than using this tactic as to save energy for healing people.

It is believed he can bring people back from the dead, but Sergio has only done that once and has never been able to repeat the process.

Can immediately sense if there is a medical problem with someone by just looking, but needs a good scan in order to figure out what it is.

Artist Notes

• He is a chunky lad so please do not draw him skinny!
• His shadow form is very vague because it changes shape a lot, so if you want to draw it as long as it has two glowing purple eyes you're fine.
• If drawn with Drake, he is about a few inches shorter and I would like that shown since I love that small height difference.
• His shadows are much darker than of his latest ref, more solid purplish black than smoke-like
