An intelligent woman, a simple glance at her would tell you that she’s scarily observant and holds herself with an air of guarded authority. The way she looks at you, it is almost like she is looking within you, knowing more than she ever had the right to. At a glance, she is calm and distant, formal, and well-spoken. And yet you will always catch her thoughts and opinions, those that she holds close with pride and confidence. Outspoken, and often well-liked.
Yet get past this distant and calculating persona, and you will find someone shattered. She speaks her mind now because it didn’t matter before. Her aggression had no lead-up because all it took was a sigh for her to receive fists and bruises in return. Once the best of the best of assassins, now someone who had fallen from grace because she trusted too much.
Someone who got past her walls and remained a friend will see that, while in good moods, she is amicable and playful. Sassy and flirtatious. Someone who gets insecure over her snorts when she laughs too hard. Outgoing and extroverted. Someone who became an enemy will see intimately the wrath of an oracle with a taste for blood.

The Vaelari
She was hatched, along with her twin brother, among the people and culture known as the Vaelari– a vampiric clan that lived in the Ratakise Forest. The two were heralded as divine oracles, as both of them had the unique ability of time-sight– being able to look into the past, present, and future at any given moment. They both predicted an awful tragedy which was to befall the Vaelari, but both being children, they could not communicate their visions well as they were not aware of a world outside of the clan yet.
The Vaelari tribe was attacked by the Empire’s forces as punishment for refusing to comply and erase their culture and identities. The children were forced through to witness a lot, but managed to escape before being slaughtered. To this day, there are hardly any survivors, and Athena and her brother blame themselves for this loss that they had predicted.
The two began traveling and living on their own, using the bounties of the wilds to sustain themselves. They were once taken in by a Charity Hive, but after undergoing heavy prejudice and mistreatment by the hive master herself, they soon found themselves on the road again.
LIFE IN THE CAPITAL
Growing up homeless and with no stable access to jobs or food or medicine meant that Athena and her brother stole from local villages, cities, and towns a lot. However, her brother stole from perhaps one of the most riskiest places in the Capital: the Huntress Guild. Disguised as a tavern, this is a guild filled to the brim of female-only assassins-for-hire, and are considered to be among the best of the best. Athena had defended her brother and had put up a decent fight for someone of her age. Impressed, the leader of the guild decided to take her and her brother in and raise them– in exchange that Athena would train under them and become a Huntress herself.
Life began to look up for the two Uyilsts. They had a passionate and loving community to call family and home. Athena learned how to fight, and the two both were tutored in reading, mathematics, and other subjects. Over the sweeps, Athena grew into a very powerful assassin, eventually proving herself better than even the leader of the guild herself. Athena became known as the Huntress, the most renowned and deadliest mercenary on this side of Alternia.
Her brother, meanwhile, stewed in their shared trauma and lack of recognition for his own efforts, and became someone who actively hurt people out of anger. While in the beginning, Athena tolerated this, it soon became a scary situation for her. After sweeps as serving as the Huntress and tolerating her brother’s toxic behaviors, she retired the title and took whatever savings she had and moved elsewhere in the Capitol. She decided to open up a psychic shop as an oracle, selling her ability to accurately predict the future. Through this she earned a fairly popular reputation– enough to catch the attention of the big guys sitting in Government.
Unknown to either Athena nor her brother, they are descendants of the previous Grand Highblood before the current one slaughtered her and came to power. When news of Athena reached the current GHB’s ears, he had to see it for himself, and conscripted Athena into a Government council position so that he could keep an eye on her and abuse her power. The two became moirails by name only, when in reality behind those cold marble pillars and walls painted in a rainbow of blood, he would hurt her in many more ways than one. She could not escape, for he held power over her, and instilled in her a sense of learned helplessness and dread. Still, she did her job to the best of her ability with as kind of a hand as she could offer, and became loved by the Lowbloods.
Fearing an uprising, the GHB sought to get rid of her without the public knowing. He had first attempted to sell her to slavery; for a small handful of sweeps she endured the terrors and horrors that involved. However, she was rescued, and brought back to the Capitol where she was forced again to resume her seat in Government much to the GHB’s chagrin.
There was indeed a rebellion in the streets, but not because of her. An aging priest named Zorovast spoke words of peace and life that stirred the hearts of many. Athena was tasked with arresting him, but she could not bring herself to do it. Instead, she was curious about the man, but in her attempt to contact him and warn him she had been betrayed by a third party. Zorovast had been brought in and before long executed. There was increasingly little hope that Athena held for the world around her.
Not long after this event, there was another betrayer among the midsts who had outed Athena as a follower and a rebel supporter. Finally having reason to dispose of her, the GHB sentenced her to exile in the Safari.
THE SAFARI
The Safari is Alternia’s dumping-place for when their prisons become too full. Some prisoners are sent here, perfectly innocent and harmless, though most are cut-throat murderers that formed their own lawless culture. Athena was taken by a renown and feared member among this land, a warlord that went by the Hidelord: a foul man who skinned and sold the flesh of his slaves. Athena would live under his roof for roughly three sweeps, every day fighting her way to survival through wits and, at times, blood.
It was a Huntress commissioned by her brother that broke in and saved her, delivering her back to Mainland Alternia. A fugitive of the law, she now traverses the streets in secret, ever fearful of being caught.
- Blood color is #bfb7e6. Officially named "Lilacblood," a hue of Purple caste. Though it should be categorizd as "mutant," the Spectrum has not been updated with such information yet as Lilacbloods are rare, and thus she is legally considered a 'Rareblood" (cusp) instead.
- Athena became a rainbow drinker shortly after her exile, though has partaken in the act of blood drinking before that.
- Her lusus is a giant barn owl named Ezylryb, and is shared with her brother. Ezylryb was a late addition to their lives.
- Her hive used to be an abandoned castle spire, decrepit and ruined, though the inside is much more modern and nice.
- Athena's preferred method of killing is beheading people, since to her it feels less personal, more clean, and efficient fr whether or not the target is normal or Undead.
BROTHER
These two have grown up witnessing many a horror and struggle and trumphing through it all. Although they had fallen out for a time, they still have a strong love for each other and would move mountains for one another. Later reunited, they are freshly reminded of the importance of family.
MATESPRIT
Finding each other in the dark, the two have learned to accept themselves through each other. Athena learned how to not just experience life but also how to live it again, and he learned that he can be something more than an idea. In every universe, they'll find each other.
FORMER MASTER, FORMER LOVE-INTEREST
During her exile she had come under the ownership of the infamous Hidelord, though their relationship and dynamic was much more than what they were willing to let others perceive. Whatever it was... he made her the absolute worst version of herself she could be. To this day, Athena has many mixed feelings for this dispicable man who had went out of his way to protect her.
EX-MOIRAIL, FORMER ABUSER
Having had recruited her to control her and her lineage, he heavily mistreated her while faking the title of 'moirail.' Athena hates him with a passion and wishes him dead; he is the reason why she's hesitant to take another moirail.
