The more lax member of the Cosmic Principles, Dreamcatcher's role in the cosmos is viewed as rather lazy, cheap, and endleslly easy. As most of his time is spent sleeping as his namesake would suggest, Dreamcatcher is often in another world entirely. He is an honest and emotional creature as he often peers into the vulnerabilities and subconscious of man, learning from their highs and lows. He has no qualms with lending a helping paw to mortals in need, helping a lonely soul drift to sleep, or simply acting as a source of heat during those cold, winter months. While not as respected by his peers, he gains much reverence from those in the plane of reality.

Deep Sleep

A passive ability in which Dreamcatcher is immune to any and all types of magic while in a sleeping state. While still vulnerable to being physically attacked, he will remain in this highly defensive state until awoken.

Dream Summoner

As Dreamcatcher's offensive capabilities are rather weak, he relies on summoning imaginative creatures from the dreams of mortals. The monsters he summons are only limited to the imagination of said mortals, though he can only summon two at once. While summoned, Dreamcatcher's physical and magical defenses will raise astromically, with this barrier only being brought down after his summons are felled. Dreamcatcher cannot attack or move in this state.

Pacify

An ability that instills instant drowziness within the recipient, activated with the orb that Dreamcatcher holds in his tail. When the orb glows, the mere sight of it can cause those in it's vicinity to fall asleep in less than a minute, much like an anesthesia. This only works on mortals- beings that require sleep and utilize the function of sleeping for survival.

Zero gravity

Zero gravity is a passive trait that causes Dreamcatcher to be weightless, though he can control how gravity effects him within the mortal plane so as to not float away uncontrollably- like a balloon being let go into the sky. His area of influence is small in the mortal realm however, and so his ability to manipulate gravity only effects him.

Dreamcatcher is a member of the Cosmic Principles- a group of overseers who govern various aspects of reality to keep it bound together. Dreamcatcher is responsible for the act of sleep- a necessary component of life. He takes hold over the realm in which all dreams occur, a secret dimension that no mortal knows of, though they all visit it every night. It can be both a wondrous land and a terrifying one- aspects in which Dreamcatcher holds no control over.

The First Dream

The birth of Dreamcatcher was the moment in which the concept of sleep came to be- and that was when the first living being experienced their first dream- awakening the realm of dreams as the mortal's subconscious creations shaped the foundation of this dimension. Dreamcatcher's silent influence soon allowed all life to follow suite- all began to experience the widespread dreaming phenomena. It held no name for quite some time, not until intelligent life emerged to study it's meaning.

Mortals often have no control of themselves in this realm. It's influence upon their minds is inescapable and unstoppable, only molded by their own emotions, memories and intentions. This has led to some despising the act of dreaming, as they would have uncontrollable nightmares which resulted in widespread insomnia and night terrors. The realm of dreams was both a blessing, and a curse upon humanity, though none could fathom it's existence- and never would they be able to gain control over it.

The Lucid Dreamer

The first mortal to ever meet Dreamcatcher personally was one who was able to master the act of lucid dreaming. To be able to mold the realm of dreams to their whims was a feat beyond most, proving a mind of great strength and will. They were able to leave the confines of their own dreams and enter the dreams of others, before travelling so far that they had happened upon Dreamcatcher's doorstep.
