•Self-conscious and moody butch lesbian in her mid-20s who cannot stand being alone but struggles socially

•Works as a data entry clerk (which she is great at) and spends most of her time hiding away in her single bedroom apartment watching TV when she isn’t lurking at a bar or tagging along with her friend Kim to other places

•Host of a chaos demon; Was freaking out at first but has started to cooperate/befriend the demon because its proven itself useful to her as social support and they both get what they want out of the arrangement (Max wants to escape herself and Brandy wants to also escape her by being allowed to experience her mortal world through possessing her body)

•Can only see Brandy (the demon) in reflections, when she is inbetween consciousness, or pulled into the pocket space Brandy lives in

•Max has a very active imagination and often fantasizes about scenarios and romanticizes coincidences; Gets superstitious during hard times, believing deeply in bad/good luck and searching for signs from the universe, questioning higher powers  etc. 

•She is a writer and studied literature in college; she especially likes poetry and fiction novels but is insecure about her own interests; She has a private journal she writes in and carries everywhere 

•A little too eager for a sense of direction, questioning her entire life + sense of self which she feels is ambiguous and disjointed; Her desperate romanticization and endless chase for the impossible ideal will be her downfall
