Profile
Elara is an extremely skilled Necromancer, belonging to my story: The Coalition of Witches. She is extremely cocky and confident, often too confident for her own good. She lives in a shitty part of Toronto with her closest friends, Jamie Pericone and Sora Ishikawa. She works part-time as an entertainer at a local bar to pay the bills (she can do little tricks and flourishes with her magic, drunk people don't tend to look that close).
She does belong to the Coalition of Witches (a group of witches that banded together to avoid being hunted down by anyone who is afraid of magic) but does so more to provide protection to Sora and Jamie. Both Sora and Jamie are looked down upon by the Coalition for different reasons, so her skills in necromancy are the only things keeping them protected and not tossed away, left to fend for themselves as Elara cannot offer the same level of protection on her own. Elara hates being in the Coalition though as there are very strict rules regarding Necromancy. It's a frowned upon magical practice as a lot of witches regard life and death as sacred and not to be messed with.
Elara is a developed witch, meaning that she was not born with her magic. Everyone has the potential to be able to wield magic due to the innate magical core inside every human being, but Elara was not born with her core awakened. She is one of very few witches to study their type of magic so fiercely, that her magic core awoke after deeming her worthy. Her magic takes the form of glowing purple skulls.
Elara has a mother, father, and a little sister that she left when she was 15 to pursue the magic path knowing her family would try and stop her. Especially with the type of magic she practices. She writes them letters occasionally to let them know that she's still alive and okay, although she has not seen them since she left. Elara misses her family a lot, but she does not regret her path.
Elara is an incredibly loyal person, loves her friends with all her heart has to give, and tries to be as decent a person as she can. She's had to do some things when she was younger to survive but otherwise she's lived her life well. She wants to do some good in the world somehow using necromancy, although she hasn't figured out exactly what yet (she's only 25, she has some time). Although her fairly arrogant nature may seem off-putting, if she likes you, she'll be your friend for life.

Relationships:
Jamie Pericone - Elara brought him back from the dead very carelessly and she still harbours a lot of guilt about it. Jamie is Elara's closest friend though, and after they talked through everything concerning Jamie's resurrection, they became closer and closer. Tries her best to do well by him to make up for her mistakes in the past
Sora Ishikawa - Took him in when she found him on the streets: She just couldn't stand to see a fellow witch abandoned like that, especially one that rare and powerful. Soon Elara found that she adored Sora, thinking of him as a son/little brother of some sort. She loves to treat him with gifts and tease him playfully.
Vinca Trawry - Pretty good friends! Elara really likes Vinca! She's pretty cool for being so high ranking in the Coalition. Elara appreciates her help in keeping Jamie and Sora protected as well.
