Overtime, he started to realise he doesn't agree with the fatui mindset but you can't really escape it once you're there, so he keeps secret about that
Unofficially adopted Kamila, a Natlanian kid, after saving her from treasure hoarders in Fontaine. Since her parents were killed in the attack, he really didn't want Arlecchino and the House of Hearth to find her and recruit her for the fatui, so she's his now! When he's not on fatui missions he hangs out with her.
