After the loss of her parents, Ivyfoyle feels uncertain about everything. Who she is, what she wants, and where to go, or where to stay. Does she carry on the family shop, and wait as a helpless civilian for the same fate to befall her?
Or does she venture out of the safety and secrecy she has always known, risking monsters and witchfinders to seek out strength to protect herself and others, as was her parents last aim.
Those that meet Ivyfoyle would have no idea that this internal struggle is what consumes the quiet, soft spoken girl who runs a bookstore in West River Leona.

History
Born to a family of middle class merchants in the City of Leona, Ivyfoyle grew up surrounded by literature. Parchments, books, and scrolls were her family's trade long before her birth.
She was the only child of two loving parents. Raising a single child and passing the family business on to them was tradition.
It wasn't until the age of 14 that Ivyfoyle learned the purpose of this tradition. Her magic began to manifest in the smallest of ways. Sometimes it was page turning before her hoof reached for it. When she searched for a book in her family's store, she would find the right one rapidly, protruding slightly from the rest in the shelf. The growing piglet's parents recognized the reason long before Ivyfoyle would have ever realized. She was a paper mage, just like her father, and his mother before him.
Magic ran in the family, and raising one young mage was plenty to take on along with running a business.
Even after discovering her magic, much of Ivyfoyle's early life was peaceful and happy. Her powers and that of her father had little effect on daily life outside of little conveniences. She was trained careful control, and to never display her power obviously to those outside the family. As she grew older and became more aware of the political climate, she understood the reasons for the secrecy.
In the summer of 1234, everything in Ivyfoyle's life changed. As three different monsters raged across the lands, her parents' attitudes shifted. Though untrained, her father felt it was his duty to attempt to protect his home, and his family, by going out to fight the Decahedron before it could reach Leona. Her mother went with him as a supporting non mage fighter. She was left in charge of the store. They never returned.

Paper Manipulation
Starting Abilities
With her starting balanced power and discipline, and her current understanding, Ivyfoyle's powers are barely more than stronger, increased range telekinesis when it comes to paper or paper like materials. She can fold paper very precisely, and pull it to her from further away than non paper objects. Sometimes she folds little origami shapes and has them float along with her when alone. Currently she cannot fold very complex shapes, or move hovering creations precisely.

Ivyfoyle's magic only works on paper and paper like products that have been written on with the requirement that Ivyfoyle has read that writing. In example, she can call a book from a shelf very close to her if she can recall what is written on at least one page, but she cannot call a book she has never read. Her magic has no effect on blank paper.
Magic use reduces the caster's mobility or reflexes. (1)
Ivyfoyle's reaction time is slower when actively manipulating paper.
