Joan

Overzealous and ostracized paranormal investigator dedicated to documenting evidence of phenomena in the area.

Background

Joan grew up as an only child in Bluegill Springs. Both her parents ran a local business and her childhood was actually quite uneventful. It wasn't until the end of her high school experience that things really began to shift and fall apart. After witnessing an unexplainable paranormal event, the town changed opinion of Joan and her family. Her parents moved away and Joan refused to join, opting to stay in her hometown to devote herself to the pursuit of answers. An older local (Marge) took pity on Joan's lack of support from her parents and she allowed Joan to rent out a spare room. Joan has been living there and performing paranormal investigation work ever since.

Hobbies / Interests

Joan’s been interested in the science fiction genre since she was a little kid. Although paranormal research is her current preoccupation, that interest didn’t officially spark until her late adolescence. Aside from that she's interested in retro technology, film, arcade & old console video games. Her current artistic hobbies involve writing and storytelling unless you count hacking and modding electronics as an artform too. She enjoys running tabletop roleplaying games more than playing them because she thrives in that position of guiding people through imaginary worlds (always with her own added flair).
