"But really, what use would I be to a war against a God that kills others? What the hell am I going to do? Put him to sleep? If I could put him into a coma, different story."

Eslyn was born as a Dream Walker, but something was always wrong. Eslyn did not have wings like the other Dream Walkers, so he floats instead of flies. His magic was different too. It was psychic magic. That was when Eshe realized she accidentally made a quori instead of a Dream Walker. With Eslyn being the first of his kind, she would assign him the role of the Quori of Dreams and he would get to have his own realm too which was cool for him. Despite this, the other Dream Walkers did not treat him as seriously as themselves. So one day when he gets a notice about the Son of the God of Chaos fighting a Dream Walker, he goes and save that Dream Walker by fighting the Chaos Being himself, but instead he looses, and gets one of his eyes gouged out, which the Goddess would need to revive him if he ever died. Ouch. However, he was spared by the Chaos Being, which was rare, he thought he would die then and there. 

During the war, Eslyn kept to himself in the plane. Everyone thought he was lazy, but he thought he was smart, since he wasn't throwing himself out there to be killed. That was when he would get a job from the Goddess of Life dealing with the human realm. At some point, the war had gotten so bad that it reached to the human realm. That is when all of a sudden, the one man who gouged his eye out before the war, was now in his realm, injured and even thanking Eslyn for his kindness. Shiva did forget Eslyn existed after that encounter, but maybe the man who spared him that day, was not as bad as Eslyn thought.
