Profile

2z7n4gw.jpgSiblings (describe relationship): Youngest of five children, he’s the second son. He gets along well enough with his siblings and loves them dearly but they don’t share the same ideals as him which puts a bit of a barrier between them all.
Family:
Grandmother living in Hateno village, they spoil all of the grandchildren, Shae most of all. Shae’s grandmother is a feisty old lady and loves to entertain his wild tendencies. Has a decent relationship with his parents.
Relationship skills:
Next to none—he simply doesn’t think about being in a relationship. His friendships are somewhat few and far between, since he and his family live in the middle of nowhere. Most of his friends are merchants or children of merchants that travel for trade through the Hebra region. His best friends in the entire world are his two horses (Molly and Sonny) and his dog (Alfons).
He has, however, made quite a lot of friends up in Rito Village, where he spends a good chunk of his time there. The children and adults love him alike.

Physical Characteristics:

Distinguishing features:
Freckles across his face and shoulders
How does he/she dress?:
Typically in Rito-style wear. It’s fairly cold up in the mountains and around the stable so he’s usually bundled up. Casual spring-summer wear are Rito-inspired, as a lot of his nicer clothes are gifts or purchases from his Rito friends.
Mannerisms:
Pouts when he thinks and wears his thoughts on his face: very open and expressive! He’s also got quite the mouth on him (he has no filter) but is relatively polite. When asked about his opinion he’s not afraid to give it seriously.
Habits: (smoking, drinking etc.):
Poor at holding his liquor. Doesn’t smoke.
Health:
Very healthy! Between lifting heavy things around the stable to traveling up and down mountains all day, his body is in tip-top shape. Not ripped, but not a twig, either.
Hobbies:
Archery, horseback riding, mountain climbing
Favorite Sayings:
“Why?”
Speech patterns:
He can be kind of reserved and isn’t too much of a chatterbox unless the subject really interests him.
Scars/Injuries:
Has a nasty scar at the base of his skull from a near-death experience with a Lynelgot too carried away exploring and had never really seen one up close. Of course, his overconfidence in his sneakiness got him a little too close for the Lynel’s comfort and luckily he managed to get away from the beast but not without quite a tumble down the mountainside. Alfons found him hours later, having been concussed and bleeding after a landing that slammed his head against a boulder.
Greatest flaw:
Overconfidence and recklessness.
Best quality:
Very open-hearted and open-minded.
Educational Background:
Homeschooled. His parents gave him the option at a young age (as they did with all their children) to go live with their grandmother in Hateno and attend school there. But, to Shae, the thought of leaving the mountains was too painful and he stayed. So, his mother taught all five of the children to read and write (though Shae, personally, always had a bit of trouble) as well as simple arithmetic.
Intelligence Level:
He’s decently smart but tends not to think things through before charging in head-first.
Learning Experiences:
The run-in with the Lynel was a pretty good one.
Character's short-term goals in life:
To travel across all of Hyrule
Character's long-term goals in life:
How does Character see himself/herself?:
He thinks of himself as a part of nature and really wants to connect with the world around him. Doesn’t think too much about just himself as a singular being, rather how he exists in his environment.
How does Character believe he/she is perceived by others?:
He doesn’t really care.
How self-confident is the character?:
Too confident. It’s likely to get him seriously injured or killed one day.
Does the character seem ruled by emotion or logic or some combination thereof?:
Emotion, namely curiosity.
What would most embarrass this character?:
He doesn’t have much shame, so embarrassing him would be very difficult. Perhaps matters of the heart are a bit embarrassing to him.

Emotional Characteristics

Strengths/Weaknesses:
Strength: Very strong-willed and ready to take on new tasks and challenges. Weaknesses: Doesn’t think before acting, has little tact when dealing with others.
Introvert or Extrovert?:
Toes the line between the two, leaning more toward extroverted.
How does the character deal with anger?:
Typically one to bottle things up, especially if angry. His usual method of blowing off steam is to go for a hike/walk/ride.
With sadness?:
He doesn’t like others to see him cry, so if it gets to that point he makes sure to leave. He doesn’t cry very often, though. Like most other strong emotions he typically bottles them up.
With conflict?:
Can be fairly confrontational if he thinks the opposing party’s decision/opinion is stupid.
With change?:
He seeks it out—loves change! He gets very antsy very quickly if he’s stuck in a repetitive cycle.
With loss?:
He was fairly young when his grandfather died, and has yet to really experience loss.
What does the character want out of life?:
To see all there is to see. He seeks fulfillment in the diversity throughout hyrule and wants to bring more knowledge to himself and others via his travels.
What would the character like to change in his/her life?:
He’s not particularly fond of the way his parents expect him to stick around the stable for the rest of his life. He can leave, but it’s also difficult to leave his family behind when they’re so open about wanting him to stay. He knows they need help, so he has yet to leave, but he really longs to explore.
What motivates this character?:
Dissatisfaction/not wanting to just settle. He gets anxious just sitting around and doing nothing.
What frightens this character?:
He’s not very fond of cats, and not too fond of the water, especially if he can’t touch the bottom of wherever he’s swimming.
What makes this character happy?:
Horses, being outdoors, dogs, sweets.
Is the character judgmental of others?:
Not particularly. He’s very concerned with himself and no one else, really. What other people do is their business.
Is the character generous or stingy?:
He can be pretty self-centered and stingy.
Is the character generally polite or rude?:
He’s polite to a point, but doesn’t go out of his way to show respect to people who give him no reason to do so.

Spiritual Characteristics

What are the character's spiritual beliefs?
He believes in Hylia and the Three, yes, but doesn’t actively pray.
Is religion or spirituality a part of this character's life?
Somewhat.
If so, what role does it play?:
It doesn’t play a big one—that is, until he sets out to seeing the rest of the world. It seems obvious to him, after that, how touched the earth is by the Three and Hylia herself. He sees evidence right in front of him, citing that nothing without intent can be made so beautiful.
