Background:
Ruki lavellan and her twin, Turalyon, were born originally to Clan Sabrae. Their father suspected they were the result of infidelity, and while correct btu with no proof, he treated the babies very harshly and left the duties of raising them to their mother, two aunts, and grandparents. Her aunt, the Hero of Ferelden, discovered the father's plot to sell them into servitude so she stole them away in the night. She and their mother agreed on taking them to their old friend Deshanna, the Keeper of Clan Lavellan, while they "dealt with the problem" so they can all meet up later. Deshanna adopted the twins, only 6 at the time, as her own and raised them as such when their family never came for them. Ruki was a happy child, very devoted to her mother and the Dalish religion. She came into her magic when she was 9 and with her help from her mother she was able to master it by at 16 and was made her mother's First. She was also curious about humans and loved their culture, regardless of their views about her being a Dalish mage. At age 22 her mother decided she would be perfect candidate to spy on the proceedings of the Mage-Templar peace talks at the Conclave. The rest is well, history.
