In our world are those that are secretly born with intense powers. These powers can range from levitation and bending steel to the ability to control others and start fires from nothing. Unlike the superheroes of typical media, these atypicals often have to hide their powers for fear of being treated inhuman by the normal masses. With the stress of these secrets, powers, and uncommon life experiences, there comes a need for psychological treatment, which is where our doctors Itami Nakamura and Liam Wellington come in.

They both specialize in treating teens and young adults who deal with these powers and help them adjust to everyday life. Neither like to talk about how they got into the business despite not being atypical themselves; they only strive to help out their patients and support one another in the process. They have quite the collection of patients as well: an empath who experiences the emotions of those around him in colors; a pyrotechnic with chronic anxiety who lights on fire when he gets too stressed; a healthkinetic who inadvertently causes others' hearts to beat at a dangerous rate; a young planehopper who can visit othertimelines; and many others who they come to know.
