Story
Background info
Astor Udai was the husband of an ex-member of an Inkadian idol duo named Kit Bellflower and was the father of Ashley and Hope Udai. Born in a crime ridden neighborhood in Inkopolis, Astor stived to make his community a better place, helping those in need if he could. When he was 18, he met Kit at a cafe, where he learned about Kit's passion for music and her and her sister's idol duo, which was rapidly gaining popularity at the time. Wanting to impress Kit, Astor attempted to learn guitar in hopes of serenading Kit. Although he wasn't the best guitar player, Astor's good nature won over Kit's heart and the two would get closer together. The two eventually got married and Astor eventually got a job working for the Inkadian government as a spy after applying for the job and showing his skills when it comes to sneaking around and using weaponry. When Astor was 25, Kit gave birth to Ashley. Knowing that his new job may or may not put him and his family in danger, Astor relocated his family to Calamari County and made an effort to spend as much time with his new daughter as possible. He'd even allow Ashley play around with his less dangerous spy gear sometimes. 4 years after Ashley's birth, Hope was born, and he couldn't have been happier. He had a well paying job, a loving wife, and now two beautiful daughters. Could life get any better than this?
No. It couldn't.
Some time after Hope's birth, Astor has to do one of the most importaint missions for the Inkadian government he'd ever have to do: infiltrate Octarian military headquarters and steal the blueprints of the Great Octoweapons. On this mission, however, Astor would be caught and killed by octoling soldiers, never to return to his home in Calamari County. His family would eventually find out about his demise and would move to a small town in Inkadia called Squid Valley Falls.
Biology
As a neon flying squid-type inkling, Astor's hair and irises maintain a neon color (except for when Astor uses a neutral, metallic, or pastel ink color; then Astor's hair takes on the exact color of that ink color) & Astor has a higher jump than non-flying squid inklings.
Other info
- Kit would teach Astor how to play guitar some time after their marriage & his skills gradually improved over time.
- Gave emotional speeches while naming Ashley and Hope when they were born, giving his reasons as to why he was naming his daughters the way he was going to name them.
