- Aveline being ‘immortal’ but destined to die a slow and painful death as her curse takes hold. She has a bleak outlook on life and chooses to become a duelist, as she wants to see for herself why people choose to duel for their honor. How humanity chooses to fight for a chance to live, even if death is their fate. Plus, if she ends up losing, her death would be less painful than if she succumbed to her curse.

- But by the time she’s finally found that spark to live her life to its fullest, the prophecy looms overhead, and she seeks a way to stop it, and assists Furina in anyway she can. (Where they grow closer). When Furina is left to weep on her throne, Aveline forces her way back to Furina’s side, the god and her loyal devotee, the queen and her knight. As Aveline closes her eyes, preparing for the prophecy to take hold and dissolve her into the sea, she thinks on how she regrets not living her life, being stuck in a cycle since she believed life was pointless. She thinks on her regrets, but she’s glad that if this is the end, she’s by Furina’s side, and is able to die in a way that isn’t as torturous as the one fated for her

- When the prophecy is averted, Aveline doesn’t know what to do at first. She didn’t expect to survive. However, she starts seeing life a different way, and makes an effort to live her life alongside Furina, even if her painful death lurks ahead.

- received her Vision after a traumatic duel, the one where she finally learned why life is something worth living. Aveline still has nightmares, and constantly thinks about the blood on her hands. 

- Used to be Furina’s primary bodyguar, before the traumatic duel. Aveline took a step back from being a duelist, and eventually Clorinde takes her spot as Furina’s bodyguard. (Aveline doesn’t have much issue, she trusts Clorinde, who she considers to be a dear friend)
