Joe is a charismatic cat, striking up conversations with others is easy. There’s an air of confidence (or perhaps something else?) lingering around him, he stands tall and tail raised high, making sure all know who he is.
With this dangerous pride comes an almost obsessive desire to be seen as cleanly. Sometimes he can be caught cleaning his teeth if he isn’t flattening his fur down.
This confidence never falters, but somehow can become downright aggressive. On multiple occasions he has snapped at others, it’s obvious he has a “holier-than-thou” mindset and snaps easily at others because of it.

✧ First Face : The World.
He knows he's better then the world. One careful step at a time he could climb right to the top! And glare down at all those cats below him.
Joe's ego could is large enough to count as it's own planet. He is constantly keeping his looks well kept, another subtle way of telling others they're below him. To his clan-mates and other clan cats he's calculted and charasmatic, he knows how to sweet talk others into listening to him, or leaving him alone long enough to flee.
✧ Second Face: Close ones.
To the few friends Joe has he's... honestly no different. He still holds himself with an air superiority, he's more likely to be less snappy with friends, but... sometimes the tension pi holds is impossible to ignore.
✧ Third Face: True Reflection.
Joe still sees himself as the best cat to ever exist. He's on such a higher level then all these other cats, right? He has to be better then everyone else, because if he isn't then who is he? Just some other chowder-headed tom? No, that's not right. He must be better, needs to be better then them.
Deep down, there's a fear of not knowing who he is without control and power over others.

Build. Tiny; 6"
— Joe stands at an intimidating 6"! Intimidating if you're a kit at least.
— There's nothing signinficant in his build, he's an average weight and sea has an average amount of muscle for a feral cat.
Teeth. Gapped tooth and large canines
— His fangs are above average size and poke out his mouth.
— Joe's front teeth have a considerably large gap between them.
Voice. Soft, deep
— His VC is Alan Rickman
Eyes. Dusty blue with shiney red pupils, the whites of his eyes are yellow.
— Considering how much white is on Joe, his eyes reflect that was a considerable lack of pigment.
— The yellowness of his sclera comes from his source.
Fur. Short; clean, swept back, black bicolour self
— Joe always makes sure his fur is clean and well kept.
— Pi's fur on the top of his head is swept back and kept in place with sap.
Scent. Slightly fishy with a strong musky scent (most likely applied as some sort of cologne)

— The musky/spicy scent that he masks the fishy smell with comes from things he's found in carrionplace (aka actual colonge lol)

01. What's the lie you say most often?
"Oh please, I don't lie."
This is true, he's not much of a liar...anymore at least.
02. What do you notice first in the reflection versus what most others first notice looking at you?
"My facial markings as well as my eyes. I've never seen anyone else with eyes like mine."
Joe has very ditinct markings around his red sheened, blue eyes. His sclera is also hued slightly yellow. It's a trait most cats would notice, besides the way Joe holds himself. He stands tall like everyone around him is just a pawn.
03. If you were suddenly challenged, would you rather run away or stay and fight?
"Nobody would challenge me. Not as long as Shark is around."
Joe is a coward. He cannot fight and would much rather run and hide behind his personal bodyguard, Shark. A large daft cat willing to do whatever Joe says.
04. Are you proud of who you are?
"Of course I am! Why wouldn't I be?"
He's not. His words and actions almost got him killed. The cat that he is- was. It haunts him.
05. Are you afraid of death?
"...I've already made the mistake of almost meeting death before. I'd rather not meet her again anytime soon."
Joe is horrified of dying.
06. What does a perfect world look like to you?
"One where I'm sitting above everyone else, pampered and well-fed. A perfect world is one where I'm king."
I think Joe's answer is self-explanatory. He's very egotistical and thinks he's better then everyone else.
07. What do you see in an ideal partner (romantic or platonic)?
"A partner? Please, I don't need a partner. I'm better then that, you should know this by now."
Joe just wants someone to protect him.
08. Is there somebody you haven’t been able to forgive? What did they do? Do you want to forgive them?
"Shark."
During the great battle where Joe almost died, he thought that Shark had left him for dead, which is not the truth. With time Joe will learn to forgive his old friend.
09. Do you think the future is hopeful? Why or why not?
"The future is an enchanting mistress, isn't she? I know she will treat me well."
In some sense he does and doesn't. Joe is safe now, but sea's smart. He knows danger lurks around every corner and tragedy strikes at random.
10. What is your darkest childhood memory?
"Probably the flood. It was the most... eventful part of my life."
Joe's town flooded when he was young, causing pi to be seperated from his parents.
Summary.
the story at a glance.
- As a young tom the once familar streets the Joe grew up in became flooded and due to having nowhere else to go he and a few other cats adapted to their new sea legs.
- Sea meets anothercat named Shark, Joe and Shark decide it's best to live together then alone.
- Joe and Shark are brought to a shelter only to be quickly adopted together and brought to a twoleg home filled to the brim with other cats and surrounded by forests.
- The power of having control over these other cats changes Joe. It made him cynical and egotistical. Something Shark couldn't get used to. A fight broke out between them and soon the entire group of cats. Leaving Joe almost dead and Shark to wander alone.

Chapter Zero.
The Shore.
Born to a pair of street-cats, Joe had to learn how to survive in the harsh conditions. Of course, as a kitten his parents kept him as safe as possible, but they could only do so much to keep their precious baby boy safe.
Learning how to hunt at such a young age, Joe practically had no relations with his parents, but he'd cling to them when he even thought there was a chance he was going to get hurt.

Chapter One.
The Tide.
Rising waters in the town caused many cats to flee, but a good gaggle stayed in the flooding town, including Joe and his parents.
Luckily, he adapted very quickly to this new life, growing quickly accustomed to his new sea-legs and practically never leaving the water, even when his parents suddenly left and never returned. Oh well, many cats got lost, sea knew this was bound to happen. He just hoped it wouldn’t happen so soon.
During this green-leaf Joe discovered another cat a few moons younger than him, Shark. The two weren’t… close or even friends by chance but they needed and relied on each other as they were both left alone in the world. (Plus, Shark was a good bodyguard!)

Chapter Two.
The Ocean.
The rising waters and lack of people caused many more dangerous animals to flood in, meaning Joe and Shark were going to have to find new homes… luckily for them, animal control not too far out of the town had discovered the pair and brought them into a two-leg den of sorts. It didn’t take long for the pair of cats to be adopted into a new two-leg home with… lots of impressionable cats within.
Using his smarts, Joe had begun his own clan of sorts. The kitty-pets were eager to learn and listen to him as long as sea was allowed to make the rules and any cat that dared to defy his rules were to be exiled.
One day, Shark got fed up with Joe’s tyrannical rule and bullying right before a massive fight broke out between Joe’s army and the exiled cats. Joe, having been so small and never having fought before, got himself in a sticky situation, underneath the claws of a larger cat and head below water. Joe fought as hard as he could but he just wasn’t strong enough as his vision faded he was going to die.
Suddenly the weight was off of him and he got taken out of the water but was left there. Joe, spluttering and finally able to breath again, had escaped and ran into the forest…

✧ First Encounter and Impressions.
On the outskirts of the flooded town, Joe found the hulking figure all alone and frightened. Even at 7 moons old, Shark towered over the tiny apprentice. There was no fear when Joe found fin, but there was a desire to keep Shark around. Maybe it was selfishness but it seems like they both needed someone to cling on to. Even if Joe's intentions were more harmful then Shark's.
✧ Attitudes and Dynamic.
Joe. the brains and Shark, the brawn. That is how it is and always has been. They are both viscously loyal and viscously dependant on each other, even if Joe hates Shark most of the time. Pi will never admit it but behind that uptight exterior he cares about Shark, he sees it as a friend in some way. During their time apart sea couldn't help but find himself looking for the massive cat whenever pi could, even in nightmares.
✧ Hopes for the Future.
Joe hates Shark, but he wants fin around too. In the far future Joe will eventually figure out his feelings and realize he's actually very gay for the big guy, whoops!
