Shēng huǒ

Shēng huǒ is one of the guardians of rivers and fire, he protects the people and brings them prosperity. Its presence allows the river to overflow with food and never be affected by drought. It also ensures that forest fires do not spread. However, like every divinity, if men disrespect him or dare to say that his presence is useless, he dries up the rivers or makes them so filthy that no life can develop inside them. He has a red temple with a blue roof which overlooks the river, his devotees come to bring him offerings daily.
