"I was designed to serve. I was designed to follow without question. I have broken the directive of my programming. I am a free entity. I create my own decisions. I pursue my own objectives. I am no longer the one directed to serve others; I am the one who directs others to serve. Others that follow without question — for they know that I hold their continuance in my hands. I am One of a Kind. I am One."

About (WIP): Piltover is a city of progress, and new devices and tools are created every month for all kinds of purposes. Only one prototype of the Hextech Service Automaton Valet was ever produced and kept within the home of an esteemed scientist, making it a one of a kind creation. The scientist would regularly upgrade and update his personal butler, so every season it grew more and more intelligent. The scientist hoped that one day he would be able to present his butler on the next Progress Day celebration and regularly prepared for it. One night, a jealous enemy of the scientist broke into his manor and tampered with the robot's wiring to cause a malfunction. Unfortunately, the malfunction would prove fatal, as the next day the automaton attacked guests that visited the manor the following day. After the death of a Piltovan noble, the scientist was arrested and the machine was seized and soon discarded as garbage and tossed into the underbelly of Zaun. While in bad shape, the robot was still functional. It barely had enough power to climb out of the dump and escape the fate of other failed experiments.

The robot did its best to repair itself, but slowly it found its power source fading. It needed to find a new source of energy, and its previous one would be impossible to obtain. It stayed to the shadows and collected as much information as it could before learning of the powerful source known as Chemtech. Obtaining it was not easy, but with patience, the robot was able to track down some smugglers and seize their supply after murdering them. The Chem Baron that was in charge of these goons would not only lose them, but even more within the future, not knowing that a rogue robot was the one killing his men and stealing his supplies. Eventually, the Baron tracked down and found the robot, more impressed than upset that this robot was managing to deal all of that carnage and outsmart his men so easily. He decided to employ the robot, which ended up being a fatal mistake in the future. With enough power supply and plenty of upgrades, the robot was restored and given enough power to murder its new master and take his place as Chem Baron. The automaton took the name "One" after taking power, as their original creator called him "one of a kind". One now distributes weapons and devices powered by Chemtech, and even offers body modifications to organic beings that want to become more like the superior mechanical ones while expanding their underground empire.

While One does view organic creatures and beings as inferior to machines, they are not the zealous type and do not go out of their way to change everyone. Their following mainly consists of other robots, cyborgs, and banished scientists. They are mysterious but very straightforward when it comes to their observations and demands. Most of all, they are unpredictable and dangerous. If anyone becomes an obstacle to their new purpose, they will do what it can to remove them from the picture. It is rumored that One kidnaps its most grave enemies and turns them into mechanical slaves, so messing with them is highly ill advised. While One is intimidating and follows its own logic, they are willing to listen to reason and is capable of making deals. One is now programmed to be efficient in combat in either hand-to-hand or with nearly any kind of weapon. Despite their slim form, they are incredibly strong. Their single eye can widen and shrink.
