Other Info

• Separate from Passive Nightmare(who in this Multiverse is called Night to identify easier)
• Crystallized form was created as a result of Nightmare going into a sort of self-induced hypnagogic state for a currently undefined amount of time, allowing only for negativity to be consumed 
• The linings inside the crystals is liquid corruption that couldn’t harden before the rest
• The sheen of the crystals is almost identical to Labradorite

• Crystallized form is entirely it’s own being; Nightmare no longer needs a host to remain stable
• Original goopy form was a parasitic deal; it feeds off the host emotionally(doesn’t have to) and physically
  • Had been given a puppet host(empty vessel) by Dion, deity of Body to use so Night could live his own life
• After believing the damage he’d done to so many of his closest allies was irreparable, Nightmare made the decision that he was going to get Dream to kill him, no matter if it was on purpose or accident

  • His attempt to get himself killed was pretty easily achievable, and he almost went through with it, but bailed last-second, and undetected
  • This bail was when Nightmare went into hibernation
    • Due to the large amount of negativity that was flowing off of the majority of Dream’s and Syn’s families, Nightmares friends, and the children he was helping foster (they weren’t all actually children, he just considered them his kids), Nightmare managed to recover his losses well, and as soon as he had enough negativity to create a bodily form, he gave himself a particular shape, and (basically) fell half-asleep
    • His only purpose for staying awake at that time was to consume as much negativity as possible so it would condense and compress into what became the crystals that cover his form, now
• The only reason he’s capable of moving is because the crystallization didn’t start at the center, but rather started from the outside inward.
  • Most joint locations on the limbs are crystallized with liquid corruption sitting between the “bones” in order to prevent grinding noises and the self-erosion of the crystals as Nightmare moves
  • If you were to successfully break open the crystals on Nightmare’s chest and abdomen, you would watch liquid corruption fall onto the floor
• Struggles with sight due to never being on his own in terms of a form, so detects vibrations from himself and others to get around
  • Basically figures out how to use echolocation
• Wears a mask(also made of crystals) to hide his identity and keep negativity from leaking out of his facial orifices

• Loves Macaroni and Cheese, storms, and meteor showers
• Afraid of fucking up again, having an aggressive outburst, and insects and arachnids
• Hates mint, alcohol, and mechanical beings
  • Recommended to keep mechanical beings away from him lest he feels inclined to destroy the mechanical being in question

Combat Info

• With little understanding of his new weight and form in general, he isn’t really sure how to be of use in combat
• Could probably work his way into close-combat with his fists and tentacles being much more heavy in hitting than before
  • May eventually knock off the head of a robot once he figures out how to use his momentum
