Mococo Fretka

Mococo has always wanted to be a pirate, but due to his small stature, decided it would be too impossible to get a crew of his own. Instead, he stows away on OTHER ships.

His strategy is this: he slips away to steal the treasure first when the destination is reached (while gradually eliminating crewmembers throughout the journey to make the final escape easier). Works out well as long as he doesn't get caught! ...which is sometimes.

PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

• Oliveblood
• Is that a fucking gremlin???
• Short, sharp horns
• Isn't actually missing an eye, but will sometimes use eyepatches for their intended nautical purpose
• Perpetual bedhead

PERSONALITY

• Imagine a small hyperactive child on a boat for the first time. Only ALL the time
• Pretty ruthless despite immaturity (or perhaps because of it?)
• Doesn't take things seriously, other than adventuring
• If it can't be turned into a game or something else exciting, it's not worth Mococo's time
• Good at placating others, though to some it may come off as dismissive
• Likes: Treasure, tropical fruit, adventure, history, pranks
• Dislikes: Being treated like a wriggler, getting caught, trips with no payoff

TRIVIA/DESIGN NOTES

• 'Mococo' coes from 'maki mococo', which is another name for a ring-tailed lemur.
• 'Fretka' is both the Czech and Polish word for 'ferret', which in latin comes from the word for 'little thief'
• Flapjack is a source of inspiration for this character
