About

Crackle is a woman who, due to a curse, partially transformed into a dragon. She's currently seeking for one last gem to remove her curse before she permanently transforms into a dragon.

Personality

Since turning into a dragon, Crackle has started to worry about her physical appearance and safety. She's concerned about being overly dazzling and drawing too much attention. She doesn't want anyone to believe she's wealthy or to learn that she's a dragon in secret. Additionally, she believes that those who approach her are trying to take her scales for financial gain, therefore she doesn't trust them.

Hair Pale Pink

Physical Appearance

Crackle is a woman taller than average height. She has a pear shaped body with tanned skin, pale pink hair, pink eyes, and red lips. Crackle's hair is neck-length, parted in the middle, and curled towards the end. Her uncommon features, which include pointed ears, pink horns, a pair of pink and yellow wings, and a lengthy pink tail with blue spikes, distinguish her as a human-dragon hybrid. Crackle has limited control over her form, so she cannot freely conceal these noticeable features.

Outfit

Crackle's outfit is a two piece sleeveless top and skirt. The top has a gold neckline, and a triangular opening that exposes her clevage. The length of her top reaches the end of her breasts. The skirt is knee-length, longer on the left side, and has slits at the hipline. Both the top and skirt are made up of shiny colorful sequins that resemble Crackle's scales when in dragon form. Crackle also wears long white socks and blue short heeled shoes. She does not wear many accessories, except for a pair of dangling gold earrings and several blue, pink, and yellow bands.

Design Notes

  • Her horns, wings, and tail are not optional to draw.
  • Change of outfit is allowed, she likes glittery and sparkly clothes.

Trivia

  • According to Crackle, having her scales pulled off is the equivalent to having a fingernail pulled off .
  • One of her scales is worth $25,000.
  • She supports herself by selling crystals and jewelry she produces. The crystal she produces are mostly variety of quartz, and some minerals.
  • Her crystal output is affected by her diet and over health:
    • On an average day with a good amount of rest and 3 good meals, she can produce at least 3 crystals of decent quality.
    • She produces synthetic quartz exclusively after consuming junk food.
    • The quality of crystals will decrease after she has made a large amount of crystals in short amount of time.
    • When under the influence she will produce "imitation" jewelery.
    • When sick or poisoned, she will only produce pebbles or no crystals at all.
  • Due to her outlandish features she is sometimes mistaken for a cosplayer.

Past

Crackle was turned into a dragon through a spell by an unknown sourcer. She needs a certain quanity of a certain type of crystal to remove the spell. She only has a limited amount of time to collect the crystals, otherwise she will transform into a dragon entirely. While trying to collect the crystals, she has taken on the role owner of a dragon-themed jewelry and crystal shop called "Dragon's Lair."

Due to her wealthy status, she constantly attracts the attention of wealthy bachelors. In addition, a photographer who believes she is a cute cosplayer persistently bothers her with requests to take her picture.

Meanwhile, she is being pursued by a pawner who is unrelenting in his pursuit. His goal is to take Crackle hostage and profit from her scales and crystal.

Present

She finds it more difficult to maintain her human connection the longer she retains her dragon-like appearance.

Future

She ends up finding a lover that she is willing to put her life on the line to protect.

The Pawner Archenemy

The Pawner is the owner of local pawnshop that is struggling financially. Initially, The Pawner is envious of Crackle's shop because hers is doing well while his is doing poorly. However, he ended up accidentally discovering Crackle's true form, and conspired to abduct her to sell her scales and crystals for profit. He takes advantage of Crackle's humane decision to not use her powers to kill, which makes him fearless and unrelenting in his quest. He is so desperate to profit from Crackle that he has adopted several personalities in attempt to deceive her. It is also implied that he is sexually attracted to her.

Rich Bachelor Annoyance

The Pawner established an identity as the "Rich Bachelor" in order to trick Crackle and kidnap her. The Bachelor makes an effort to win Crackle over by professing his love for attractive women who know how to live a good life, but Crackle consistently turns him down, claiming she isn't drawn to wealthy guys. Although she doesn't find wealth attractive, the bachelor claims a poor man couldn't adequately take care of her. His objective is to bring Crackle to his place and hold her hostage.

Photographer Annoyance

The Photographer is an additional persona that The Pawner made in order to trick Crackle. The Photographer claims to love Crackle's "cosplay" and wants to take her portrait, which she sometimes agrees to in order to get him to leave. The Photographer attempts to lure Crackle into his "studio" so he can kidnap her repeatedly, but she always refuses. Later, when Crackle threatened to call for police intervention, he gave up using this identity.
