legitimately not sure if this is Avarice’s personal project or a shared project of the sin beasts, buuuut -
Avarice is running a Deathmatch this year. it’s not an annual event but regular enough that its a hyped, very popular event. He travels around the realms of hell and selects a hundred contestants from demons convicted and sentenced to death (not a hard feat, punishment is extreme and lives are not precious in hell). It’s a show, in the end, a spectacle for those in the capitol; and Avarice makes meticulous choices for intrgue, drama, and displays of raw power.
