BIOGRAPHY

Apprenticeship

Owlcreek was born to Swallowpounce and Houndbite of Windclan alongside his sister, Sparrowkit. While his father was busy and rarely visited him and his sister as a kit, his mother did, caring for Owl and Sparrow more than many mothers in Windclan had. Quickly, Owl and his sister were old enough to become apprentices, and so they did. Owlpaw was assigned to Cloudedgaze, and Sparrowpaw to Blueshade. The two trained alongside Timberpaw, another young tom who quickly became friends with Owl. Only two months into their apprenticeship, a great famine swept over Windclan, leaving many cats exhausted, getting little sleep and being overworked trying to find prey, while the leader at the time, Cloudedstar, refused any help from the other clans. One night, Owlpaw and Timberpaw plan to go out hunting at night, in hops of catching some nocturnal prey for the clan. They follow a trail that borders Thunderclan territory and the forest. After a while in the forest, the tired apprentices start to lose their energy, on their way out of the forest, Timberpaw gets caught in a fox trap. Owlpaw doesn't know what to do, he's scared and confused and his best friend is dying beside hhim. He decides to run back to camp for help, but when he returns with help, Timberpaw has already died. In the morning the clan shares what little food the two caught on their mission, and when evening comes, Owlpaw sits vigil for Timberpaw. He tells their leader that he will bury him, and he leaves camp, dragging the once livelytom's body behind him. He arrives at the other uninhabited forest where he plans to bury him, and hunger takes over. He sees the body of his friend, dazed and confused, he begins to eat it. Only after he's eaten over half of his ribs does he realise what he's done. Shame takes over Owlpaw and he leaves the body there and runs back to camp, where everyone is now sleeping. Owlpaw decides that his only consistent source of food and energy is Timberpaw, and so he returns to that spot each sunrise. He regains strength and is able to hunt freely again,as spring arrives, he is able to bring lots of prey back to camp, and has practically saved Windclan.

Exile/Adulthood

Owlpaw is given his warrior name, Owlcreek. He's proud, and for a while, he's able to live normally and freely as a young warrior. He's soon assigned an apprentice, Wrenpaw. Wrenpaw is a quick and bright individual, and Owlcreek becomes good friends with her, sharing gossip and jokes. Three moons into her apprenticeship, rogues break into camp. Owl, Wren, and other warriors of the clan fight and win against them. One killed, the other two surrendered and fled. Owlcreek volounteered to take the body out of camp. He takes the body to where he put Timber, and he can't resist. He eats it. Guilt rushes over him, and he panics when back at camp. He can't think, hear, or see straight. The next night, he's mostly recovered, but decides he need to finish what he started, and leaves camp at sunset to finish his meal. He slinks off into the woods once again, and the curious Wrenpaw chases after him, wondering where he was going at such a time. She follows him, her thin and light body helping her follow his path silently. When she catches up to him, she watches through the leaves of a bush as he's crouched down next to a body. She only realises what he's doing when he turns around to face her, blood smeared across his blue fur. Wren freezes in place, disbelief and fear clouding her expression, and Owl is fearful too, he creeps toward cautiously. In response, she runs. Owl chases after her, but she vanishes into an abandoned fox den, where she waits him out. Owlcreek goes back to camp, scared for what Wrenpaw may do. Just as he feared, Wrenpaw tells the deputy of the clan. The word gets out, and soon Owlcreek is exiled. After his exile, Owlcreek feels ashamed and sick with his actions, he hates it. He hates that he did that in the first place. But soon, he gets over it, he convinces himself that he was the reason his whole reason his clan didn't die was because of him, if it weren't for him, and Timberpaw, nothing would be left. They had no right to exile him. For a while, he kept away from the other clans. He resisted his cannibalistic tendencies. Soon, however, he made his way into Riverclan, the clan had no idea of his exile, Windclan didn't want to make themselves seem vulnerable for exiling one Owlpaw is given his warrior name, Owlcreek. He convinced the leader at the time to allow him to rest in the clan, and after learning his way around, he leaves. Just weeks later, Owlcreek returns to Riverclan in the night, and he finds an apprentice in the medicine den, the medicine cat is fast asleep, and her apprentice is too. While Owl watches him, wondering if he should go thrugh with it or not, when the apprentice wakes up, he has no choice but to silence him. This is his third victim.

Death

On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who are so beguiled and demoralized by the charms of pleasure of the moment, so blinded by desire, that they cannot foresee the pain and trouble that are bound to ensue; and equal blame belongs to those who fail in their duty through weakness of will, which is the same as saying through shrinking from toil and pain. These cases are perfectly simple and easy to distinguish. In a free hour, when our power of choice is untrammelled and when nothing prevents our being able to do what we like best, every pleasure is to be welcomed and every pain avoided. But in certain circumstances and owing to the claims of duty or the obligations of business it will frequently occur that pleasures have to be repudiated and annoyances accepted. The wise man therefore always holds in these matters to this principle of selection: he rejects pleasures to secure other greater pleasures, or else he endures pains to avoid worse pains.

RELATIONSHIPS

Timberpaw Relationship

Timberpaw was Owl's best friend as an apprentice, they had grown up alongside eachother and grown as close as it was possible to another cat in the time they had together. When Windclan was dying to the famine, Owl and Timber left at night to try to catch nocturnal prey, aware of how dangerous it was. They weren't able to hunt for long, as the lack of food had cut their energy levels, but in a tired daze, Timber fell into a fox trap. Owl had tried to call for help but nobody came, and his best friend died before anyone could arrive to the scene. Scared, traumatised, and hungry, Owl took his body out to the woods outside clan territory where he ate him. He couldn't resist the urge and there was no other food source, he would have died before his next meal if he hadn't.

Wrenhop Relationship

Wrenhop was Owlcreek's apprentice before his exile. They had a close bond, and got along incredibly well, sharing inside jokes and exchanging gossip between the warriors and apprentices. One night, Wren's mentor has run off to the forest outside clan territory. She chased after him, wondering why he had vanished from camp, when she finally caught up to him, she stopped the tomcat eating the body of a rogue. She froze in shock and fear, and in that moment Owl spotted her watching from behind the trees and began to chase her. She hid in an abandoned fox den until morning, when she told the deputy, Sparrowleap

Jackdaw Relationship

Jackdaw was a small female loner who lived at the barn near Windclan territory, Owl met her shortly after his exile, and they became mates, it wasn't until she learned of his cannibalistic behaviours did they cut contact, leaving Shallowstep alone yet again.
