His parents died when he was young causing him to assend to the throne very early, at 14. He made some very poor decisions durning this time, trying to gain more power as his kingdom didn't desire to listen to a child.
When he was 16 he was cursed with the Mushroom illness, which causes him to periodically turn into a feral, monsterous creature. His kingdom fades off the map, diappearing seemingly out of no where.
He moves to the Andromeda kingdom in secret, no one truely believes the "Forgotten Kingdom" actually existed as well as it's king. Kaz lives in the Andromeda kingdom for 2 years, quickly growing sick of the looks the towns people give him and having to answer to someone else's power. He decides to leave and settles in a cabin deep in the Dark Oak forest nearby.
When he is 19 Prince Solarasis comes to his home and requests that Kaz assist him in a revolution to over throw King Oberon of the Andromeda kingdom. Kaz accepts quickly setting to work gathering resources and planning for the band of rebels. He is under the impression that after King Oberon is overthrown the kingdom will be free without a ruler.
After a year of fighting, King Oberon is defeated and Prince Solarasis is crowned the new king. Kaz realises that he had been lied to and used to raise Solar to power. He declares war on Solarasis and returns to his home in the forest. It is not long after that Solarasis sends a war party to Kaz's home, threatening the life of his pets to force kaz to return to the kingdom.
Kaz is nearly executed but is saved last minute by Vio, an owl avian who he had become friends with during the revolution. On his way home Kaz comes across a new cabin and meets Bug and Bee, inviting them to his home. He offers for them to move in and they accept, soon becoming double agents for him in the war.
Right before the final battle Bug switches sides and Kaz's old friend Vio arrives at his home with a Hybrid named Benson. The war is won and Vio and Benson move in with Kaz and Bee. Bug comes back to collect Benson with a Piglin Brute named Rogue. Kaz defends his new friend, finally giving Bee the chance to stand up to his sibling.

He is in love with Bee but is afraid of Bee being used against him and getting hurt. Affectionately calls him Firecracker. "Do you love him?" "I dont want to." "But you do?" "I do."
The only one in the revolution who sided with him against Solarasis. Affectionately calls him Feathers / BirdBrain. "As long as we dont die, this is gonna be one hell of a story."
After Vio brought them to the mushroom house he offered for them to stay. He was mildly annoyed by them at first but they grew on him. Affectionately calls him Pest. "You're not as evil as people say you are." "No. I'm much worse."
After Bug ignored everything that their friends did to Bee and betrayed Kaz, there was no hope for their once close friendship. "If I catch any sign of you ever again. It's on sight."
After the betrayal and near execution, as well as what he allowed to happen to Bee, Kaz held nothing but hate in his heart for Solar. After winning the war was banished and Kaz allowed his kingdom to continue without much rule. "If you want to be the hero. Die like one."
