Fletcher's personality is one with few and far between high points. He often acts recklessly and on instinct rather than reason, putting him in plenty of situations few but himself can get out of.  He's prone to start fights and belittle others. 
History
Fletcher McCoy was born into a fairly well-off family before the war even began. From a young age he acted out,  often acting cruel to other's and reckless for his own safety, almost testing the limits of what he could get away with. Many of his actions went mostly unpunished due to his families influence but it only served to make him act out further. 

When he became a young man, entirely doing a 180 from what his family desired of him the troublesome youth instead left to train with 'demon exterminators'. It didn't take long for him to feel their methods were lax and brought new ones to the table, scooting the small group's head from it's seat when he was still rather young. He made demon hunting into an art, with cruel actions to 'demon scum' that his employers applauded. His mercenary group of demon exterminators were considered top class across the world. 

The group was then hired later to eliminate the runaway bonded of the DAMMED program. A task he took delightfully as a challenge, until it was swept out from under him by Justus Friedmann finding the group first. A slight he hasn't forgotten to this day and motivated his actions against the group specifically when the war began shortly after.

He led his mercenaries against the bonded time and time again, nearly putting an end to their operations at the beginning several times. He and his crew became a huge hazard in the groups efforts to end the conflict, until McCoy was betrayed by one of his men during one of their plots, desiring to take credit for taking down the group himself when his plan looked to be a success. The plan however fell through without Fletcher's guidance, and the mercenaries fled, leaving him for dead.  

Reluctantly, The bonded found and saved his life.  He was kept as a prisoner of war for some time but the man's betrayal kept him from attempting to escape. He remained cooperative until he was well again, after which he pledged to their cause, turning sides to his former enemy.  

Though he was a indisputable asset for the DAMMED crew during the war, his methods and personality still leave his allies at arms length with him. He lacks respect and trust with his superiors  keeping him from being given a higher rank, and quite outcast with the rest of the officers.
