[The Northern Mountains] can be a very dangerous place if one doesn't know them well. They're sparsely populated, with little villages all distant from one another being the last indication of civilization, and abandoned fortresses serve as a reminder of what once was. The vast, dark forests covering them are not to be underestimated either, full of dangerous beasts ready to feed on whoever dares venture into them without the proper caution. Knowledge of the Mountains is crucial to survival; luckily, it's knowledge Shuhrat has.
Living a secluded and solitary lifestyle, he mostly lives of hunting and, occasionally, stealing, only when he can't get what he wants by himself. There must be a reason why he's not particularly well liked in the villages of the area, after all. Other hunters aren't fond of him either, as he follows an extremely strict moral code that often leads to disputes and altercations with them. He believes the Mountains to be "alive", in a spiritual kind of way, and according to him, most other hunters do not recognize this and directly go against the Mountains' will. It is especially true for the poachers hunting the spirits inhabiting them, and he has taken it upon himself to defend the creatures against them — which has led to him forming a bond with a spirit he rescued, (TBN).
Despite his liking of colder weather, he got suspicious of the unexplainably long winter that had been going on for way more than it should have. And then one day, following his usual routine, he went to check one of the traps he had set, and found an unconscious girl caught in it.

- actually has a pretty handsome face beneath all the layers of cover, albeit scarred.
- eyes are usually half-obscured by the ushanka. a shadow can be drawn on his face to emphasize the effect. bottom half of his face is usually covered by a scarf or a neck gaiter.
- his clothing choices make him look larger than he actually is, but he's still pretty built.
- his clothing has seasonal variants, so to say. he wears more browns and greens in the summer and whites in the winter, as to better blend in with the environment.

Shuhrat is well trained for what he does and proficient in fighting at virtually any range — he's equally as skilled with a rifle as he is with a good old knife. Despite his stature and build, he manages to be quite sneaky, given he has learned how to be incredibly quiet and get through tight spaces. Pretty much always alert, it's incredibly difficult to take him off guard. High pain tolerance.
His somewhat lacking language skills are not to be taken as wholly representative of his intelligence. While he has trouble expressing his reasoning through words, he's highly strategic and logical, and usually has a pretty good idea of how to turn fights in his favour should things go south.

Hunting Rifle
Precise and deadly, it's Shuhrat's favorite of his collection, and the one he carries around the most. Built it based himself on ancient blueprints he found. Makes his own bullets.
Hunting Knife
He keeps it on himself all the time, just in case. Good for when he has to go stealth; slitting someone's throat is much quieter than shooting them, and that can be quite the advantage.
Weapon proficiencies
Proficient with rifles, knives and traps. Can work a pistol, but doesn't really like them.
Can't use a bow or a sword.
Gun Making
Skilled at building, taking apart and rebuilding guns. Starts from old blueprints, then tries to improve the design and the efficiency.
Trap Making
Skilled at creating efficient traps with limited resources. Not lethal; don't hurt, just restrain.
Focus
Capable of maintaining focus for extended periods of time, "filtering out" any distractions.
Stealth
Used to lurking in the shadows of trees and in hiding, very quiet when moving or even breathing.
Trivia
- “Shuhrat” means “fame, reputation”. “Kalash” is just “Kalashnikov” (as in the guns) without the final part. “Rat”, while just a shortening of his name, definitely fits his theming. "The Hunter" is self-explanatory.
- Made his hat and most of his clothes himself, either from scratch or by modifying existing ones he took.
- Favorite food is venison goulash. Favorite beverage is kvass.
- Morning person, but goes to sleep quite late. Doesn't really need much of it.
Song - Artist
His reluctant companion. Despite not wanting to admit it, she needs him to survive the mountains; eventually, they learn to tolerate each other.
A spirit of the mountains he rescued from poachers. He has never been as close to anyone as to her, and would give his life in exchange for hers.
An enemy. Their influence is dangerous to everything he has ever known, and he wants to keep it all safe.
