Personality

Kasada is an adventurous and kindhearted trainer who truly sees the beauty and potential in any pokemon. They are generous, understanding, and patient, and want nothing more than to see humans and pokemon reach their potential as partners and friends. He will stop at nothing to help someone in need and doesn't give in without a fight. He is naiive and often gullible, sometimes getting himself taken advantage of, but he'll always do the best he can to fix his mistakes wherever he's able to do so.

While he's glad to help, he's not really much of a talker and his actions speak much louder than any words he might say. He tends to be very softspoken and hold back to observe or quietly consider a situation rather than get involved right away,. He can be impulsive but would prefer to be able to observe something that's happening before jumping in if assistance isn't immediately needed. He doesn't really like having to talk a lot and would rather help people in the background than be the center of attention- he's never really wanted credit or acknowledgement for his deeds and couldn't care less if he's given a reward or thanked- knowing he's done something good is enough for him.

He tends to be rather aimless, not sure where exactly he wants to do or where he wants to go in the world, only knowing that he wants to make the world a better place. Without a passion or goal, he can sometimes come across as being out of place and without meaning, making others dismiss him for being unclear on what exactly he wants or wants to do. While he puts on a smile, this frustrates  him a lot because he wants a goal, he just doesn't know what that should be...and not having a direction means he often isn't where he's needed most.  He suffers a lot of self doubt about his progress as a person and it leads him to sometimes having episodes of sadness or sulking. He'll usually recover but during this time tends to explore out in the forest alone until he feels better.

He's very insecure about his position as a trainer, having seen many horror stories play out of trainers who don't actually care for or abuse their pokemon, and as such often overcompensates by being overbearing on his pokemon- who only ever really worry about him because of it when they see nothing but their friend. He worries constantly if he's doing good for them since they can't directly talk to him and even though they try to reassure him his anxiety gets the better of him some days.

Trivia

  • His Pawmi was his first pokemon. It's energetic, upbeat, and cheery, but he seems to worry about its trainer a lot. Zach is a bit overprotective of Kasada- especially when he realizes his trainer is being taken advantage of. His pawmi is strong enough to evolve, but chooses not to do so itself and Kasada gave it an everstone so that it could stay a Pawmi of its own accord. It stays out of its pokeball because Kasada lets it as his closest friend- but will go inside of one if needbe
  • His Zigzagoon is the newest addition to his party, and refuses to  go into a pokeball. It's very anxious and gets extremely upset about it, so Kasada lets him walk alongside him instead. Jet is a skittish and cowardly pokemon that is capable of battle- but would really rather just cower between his trainer's legs. Kasada keeps him with him because he's actively trying to help the young pokemon become more confident and less afraid.
  • Kasada has 4 other pokemon at all times, but those ones aren't as dear to him and will vary. Not because he doesn't care for them- they just aren't as close as his first pokemon and he'd rather let them run free at the daycare when he's not around to care for them directly. He owns about 12 pokemon in total.
History

Kasada grew up in a massive city, the son of a gym trainer and an average office worker. They never really expected him to adore pokemon as much as he did- growing up in a box and not exposed to many of them, but he always had a wanderlust in his heart. His city had a major problem with crime and pokemon being abused to nefarious ends, so Kasada took it upon himself to stop this wherever he could. Which meant finding his own pokemon, and trying to beat them at their own game by showing them kindness and understanding instead of neglect and harm.

While he made a name for himself challenging crooks and their pokemon- and frequently rescuing them or turning their trainers over to authority, he never liked the city and it felt like no matter how much he did, there was always more to do. Eventually he wandered off in search of his destiny. What that was? He really didn't know. Not until it was handed to him when he unknowingly walked right into a breach in reality and ended up on the sky islands- a group of islands inhabited by Pokemon who had never seen a human-let alone a trainer before.

He was astounded by this strange new world...unable to communicate with the pokemon- and only knowing they needed help...he set about trying to figure out what he could do. Since, he couldn't exactly pack up and go home anyways. Plus, his own partner pokemon could talk to them and communicate for their trainer- since they understood him more.
